To be shocked todays Wordle isn’t trending (contains spoilers)

Me and DP both do it, and ours resolved to different answers today ! I would have got his answer in 3, and he would have got mine in 3 ! Have seen reports of the ‘split site’ problem, in addition my answer was unfairly vague I think, anyone else perplexed this morning ? On a serious note, it’s given us plenty to talk about, though my brain is a bit tired 😁

Just guessed today’s Wordle (well, tomorrow’s!), and I’d never heard of the word before! Got it by pure chance. Has anyone else done it yet?
Tbh, I got it in 3. I had 2 vowels I was trying to discount some other letters.

I have heard of it. But was expecting it to just discount more letters. Was pleasantly surprised when I had it right 😁

I think there’s a glitch again.

Ds and I had different words yesterday, I put his word from yesterday as my first guess and it was right! And nothing to do with DIY.

@TenoringBehind you need to move to the NYT site. Otherwise you will be two days behind your DH by Saturday.

I got it in 5 and only tried the answer in desperation … had vaguely heard of it but wasn’t sure of the spelling. DP is still struggling with his, which hopefully means we have both been working towards the SAME answer today ! 😊

I got the weird word yesterday because I hadn't yet switched to the NYT version for fear of losing my streak data. It finally prompted me refresh the page and thankfully I didn't lose my data.

Todays word was ok for me - I have used the stuff a lot over the years.

I've never heard of todays word, so I was quite pleased to get it in three.

I knew the first two letters and last letter, and either the third or fourth letter. And the answer was the only combination of remaining letters that sounded like it could be a word.

I probably would have got it in 3, sadly I know few more words that start with different letters and plumped for the wrong one. I seem to be more snooker than plumber!

I got it in 3. Once I'd got 2 vowels and a consonant, which turned out to be the first letter, it was pretty straightforward.
I'm mildly peeved that I did the one with the American spelling last week, at about 5 minutes to midnight and it didn't record so I've lost my winning streak. I think it might have been to do with the change of sites. as it is recorded on my current streak!

Me too but luckily that was my 4th attempt, I got it on the 5th.

Someone working in a particular field might have found it fairly easy as they would use it fairly often but I was lucky to get it.

Seeing mention of ‘statistics’ above reminds me of a question … what does your ‘streak” represent ? Mine has always been lower than the number of games I have won (i.e solved in 6 goes). I’ve played 23, won all of them, but my streak is 20. Which of my numbers are being added up to make 20 ? A quick search on Google hasn’t helped explain.
