Vardy v Rooney - "nasty bitch"

Hunderland · 09/02/2022 01:19

Phone dropped in the North Sea? Everything 'unfortunately' wiped from devices?

YABU - those things really were totally coincidental that happened just after they were told to hand them in

YANBU yeah ...right...

Whilst I am team Coleen all the way, I can’t help wonder what other trick Vardy has up her sleeve. It seems too neat and tidy to wrap it up with “oh yeah it was my assistant, sorry”. RB is an absolute vulture. She’s not in this for vindication. She’s in it for the long game. Whatever that is

Hundreds of thousands, probably more, spanked of Rooney & Vardy money (husbands' not wives'). If I have to choose, Vardy is the malicious one, has admitted to selling stories to The Sun, say no more, that's the pits. Rooney was probably pissed off about it & rushed into legal action. They are both fools. Get jobs ladies please.

‘Get jobs ladies please’

Both of them have quite large young families don’t they? And Coleen certainly seems like a hands on mum. Why on earth should they get jobs? For what purpose? They aren’t taking money from the taxpayer if that’s your petty gripe, so what a ridiculous comment.

Hunderland · 10/05/2022 21:22

Yes, I don't know how they managed to completely erase them either.

But I 100% believe they did, and on purpose.

Has anyone listened to the podcast? It's from BBC sounds, they aren't many episodes & they're short but it's interesting.

heavyistheheed · 11/05/2022 14:29

Ooooooh it's so juicy!

She's now admitted to attempting to sell a different story about a different footballer (Drinkwater) to the Sun.

heavyistheheed · 11/05/2022 14:31

I don't know how Jamie can face his team mates now tbh.

Runningwithoutstopping · 11/05/2022 14:34

You know that Haribo advert where the adults speak with children's s voices. I think all the interactions between these two should be dubbed into those voices.

YorkshireDude · 11/05/2022 14:41

It's all a silly distraction. People are struggling to pay their bills, and the media are filling up column inches and airwaves with a celebrity spat.

Rooney isnt the one taking legal action.

Vardy is. RV is suing CR for libel. CR has to defend herself.

If someone sues you, you defend yourself or pay up. You dont really have a choice.

^^I can imagine that 😂

I do not think RV is coming across well at all. If you were a football player in JV's team I think you'd keep your news to yourself...

@Classica they definitely are. Can also confirm that, much like this thread, absolutely nobody is team RV. She has never really been liked, just tolerated and the recent things coming from this trial have confirmed what people have suspected about her for a long time.

Maggiethecat · 12/05/2022 00:04

Why would you bring a case, apparently to defend your reputation, bearing in mind that all of this shit is likely to surface?

Vardy sounds a nasty woman. Can’t imagine what training must be like for her husband at the moment.

JacquelineCarlyle · 12/05/2022 00:07

I really don't understand what RV's motivation is - she could have easily denied it rather than the action she's taking. Team Rooney all the way!

Bellagio40 · 12/05/2022 01:33

Team Rooney! Vardy sounds disgusting and really dim

KangFang · 12/05/2022 05:42

It's great entertainment. I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

TheLadyDIdGood · 12/05/2022 05:55

Apparently Jamie Vardy is estranged from his family and close friends because of his wife. I wonder what they think of this spectacle now? Probably relieved that they were right about her all this time.

Oblomov22 · 12/05/2022 06:35

Vardy & Rooney are like Depp & Heard, as damaged and as vile as eachother.

Except they aren’t, Coleen doesn’t appear to sell stories on her husbands colleagues and friends at all. She seems to generally mind her own business.

Diverseopinions · 12/05/2022 07:17

I think the courts have awarded RV some victories earlier on because they want to send out a message that you shouldn't publicly call out others and shame them, since, when they are well-known, this leads to trolling and bullying. It's like taking the law into your own hands, what CR did. It wouldn't be good if other celebrities did this - not good for the mental health of the accused.

Since those earlier times, RV seems to have twisted round in her story and has had to admit that it is possible that her agent had leaked stories without her knowledge. She is now on very shaky ground, in my opinion. This changes everything. It makes you wonder if the agent, Caroline Watt(?) when she recovers from her stress-related illness - will then sue RV for ruining her reputation.....and maybe not being candid with the truth.

It's now looking as though RV ought to have taken CR's offer of an out of court settlement and payment to charities of choice. The phone dropping, etc., looks very damaging and suggestive and I don't think she'll now have a future career as the nation's favourite.

newnamethanks · 12/05/2022 07:21

I'm not a fan of football and know nothing about WAGS but have been hooked into this gripping piece of light entertainment. Obliged to support Coleen, definitely, who has at least grasped the value of the saying "better to say nothing and be thought a fool than open your mouth and prove it".

Except a case of alleged sexual and physical violence and drug/alcohol abuse compared to some bitchy tabloid story sellers is really not the same thing.

RaleighDurham · 12/05/2022 08:29

Colleen Rooney has always struck me as a nice woman.
Can't say the same about Rebekah Vardie.

Vardy has only had one real victory and that was over the interpretation of Rooney's message. That was nothing to do with sending a message. It was a straightforward case of Rooney's lawyers arguing for an interpretation that helped Rooney that was clearly not how anyone reading her words would have interpreted them. The other three judgements were essentially procedural and unsurprising, with both sides getting some of what they wanted.

Labscollie · 12/05/2022 08:34

Hardly a Depp and Amber thing is it?! Two shallow airheads arguing, acting like children. Both using obscene amounts of money from their ridiculously overpaid husbands. I don't know why Rooney brought this to social media in the first place, when she could have dealt with it privately.

Those two would love to think it was the same thing. They thrive on drama.
