Just that really, what words appear in the tabloid press but are never used by people in everyday life.

I’ll start with:

Controversial - as in 'the controversial singer, writer, comedian' etc. Everyone is 'controversial' these days it seems.

This controversial single mother of one is now about to showcase her new side parting, donning her recycled outfit of jeans and a trendy on point jumper and swiftly exit the premises to pick up her love child, from school!

"Flaunting" for inhabiting a body .

I love “in a bid to” - only ever said in a newspaper.

Also a story that starts, for example: “The world will definitely end next Tuesday. That’s the warning from xxx Random Councillor/MP Brian Twatface.”

Love newspaper writing, used to be a local reporter and getting the structure and terms right is such an art!

'Shock' in the sense of 'PM in Downing Street Party Shock'

“Packing on the PDA” and “poses up a storm” make me cringe
