Heres mine;

DontTellThemYourNamePike · 30/01/2022 14:33

Your child must NEVER have a name in the top 50 baby names, as it's unoriginal and boooring. You will be told there are loads of people with that name in their DC's class. Actually liking said popular name is no excuse for using it. The fact it's popular because it's a nice name is also no excuse.

@RainbowBriteUk

I don't know why my earlier message was deleted about the transphobia on the Feminist board. There is transphobia there in droves!!!
You’re allowed to be transphobic on MN, mentioning transphobia however isn’t allowed, wonderful isn’t it.
Trippingslippingx1 · 30/01/2022 14:34

‘You are overthinking this’

Husband clearly having an affair and has no interest in wife

RainbowBriteUk · 30/01/2022 14:37

@drsbaitso, there was definitely no misogynistic in my first post.

sammylady37 · 30/01/2022 14:38

I saw an acronym this morning that really takes the biscuit: it was DiPoW, meaning Diana, Princess of Wales. It was on a thread which was entirely about Diana, typing Diana, Di or even her/she would have been sufficient.

RainbowBriteUk · 30/01/2022 14:38

@Simonjt It's disgusting. I wish the media would pick up on what a horrible and transphobic place it is.

DrSbaitso · 30/01/2022 14:38

Well, at least it's one of the few places where you can mention a need for sex based rights without fear of being threatened with pipebomb murder and rape by cactus. Swings and roundabouts.

All badly behaved kids have SEN and so even though the kid is beating up your kid you should still invite them to your kids party in case they have SEN
When kids play up at school they may have SEN and regardless it's the teachers fault
Anyone earning over 30k a year is lying
All men are bastards

AuntMasha · 30/01/2022 14:48

The view of men on here is beyond bleak and depressing.

The way some talk about Trans women on here is quite disturbing.

Agreed.
DrSbaitso · 30/01/2022 14:55

I've never seen anyone threatening death or rape of transwomen on here.

NeverChange · 30/01/2022 14:57

If a date contacts you immediately afterwards, he is too keen, has boundary issues, is most likely love bombing, needs a place to live urgent and will be a cocklodger - you need to delete and block

If a date doesn't contact you immediately - he is not interested, may already be in a relationship,is seeing multiple other women, plays the field etc- you need to delete and block.

NeverChange · 30/01/2022 14:58

People live in a small hamlet.

I have never heard anyone every say that in real life, or any other forum.

isthismylifenow · 30/01/2022 14:59

If you do anything nice for your teenager you get slated for pandering to them.

Same if you buy them something. They should be out working and buying all their own things.

And comment on an issue with a different opinion as I'm in another country, it won't be long before the 'race to the bottom' post appears.

Crikeyalmighty · 30/01/2022 15:01

I’m going to confess how very non mumsnet I am by admitting to having boxes of Starbucks instant cappuccinos in the house— started this during first lockdown !!!

NuffSaidSam · 30/01/2022 15:02

If you are over 18, you are absolutely ridiculous if you ask your parents for any sort of advice.

A parent going with their 18 year old to look at Universities? Ridiculous.

Only to those who are lik rly stupid.

The kinds of relationships that end up being posted here are generally quite extreme.

If anything I’d say the expectations of men here are low, so a workshy loser is a ‘great dad’, the kids ‘adore’ him and they ‘love the bones of him’.

Many defer to or can’t stand up to obnoxious partners even when they’re talking arrant nonsense.

Everyone has either anxiety or fibromyalgia.

Sparklingbrook · 30/01/2022 15:07

Yes once your DC get to 18 then you must not help them in any way. It's tough, they're adults and you need to get your life back now, they're on their own. You'll get a flurry of 'they should be doing that themselves' if you as much as look something up for them or ask on here about how they should proceed. Particularly trying to sort anything about University out.

Fortunately my Dad isn't on MN so he had no idea that he should not have been fixing my outside light or phoning an electrician and waiting in my house for him to arrive while I was at work. Grin

skipperjonce · 30/01/2022 15:09

Nobodies husband/partner would ever dream of looking at porn. It disgusts them as much as it disgusts you 😂

Then you get the "well s/he's 18, barely an adult"..."not mature until they're 25" bollocks. Grin
Sub1required · 30/01/2022 15:25

If a husband or partner does something outside the norm or isn't perfect and accommodating or has fears and emotions, then you must leave them. They are abusive and gaslighting.
