Petty pils, didn't wait for us, then moaned about fils old tux

Going to an event, we were massively delayed in traffic getting to pils .They couldn't wait for us.
So when we arrived they were leaving and mil clocked our friend in pils old tux which dh had leant him, an old 80s thing.??

Dh served us done drinks by which point fil was calling dh saying if we didn't leave immediately we wouldn't get a space in the car park! When we got to the car park it was half empty.
Mil then questioned dh about the tux friend wearing as she felt it was actually fils old one and that was for dh not to give away.

What are 'done drinks'?

All sounds like a storm in a teacup to me.

SquidGame · 29/01/2022 21:06

So now you are worried about anonymity after dragging your PILS through the mud on a public forum. Are you worried it will get back to them or do you not like the responses which say YABU?

SimonedeBeauvoirscat · 29/01/2022 21:10

Maybe you could reply to some of the many people who have taken the trouble to reply to your thread?

Norgie · 29/01/2022 21:16

I seriously doubt the daily mail would be the least bit interested.
Also doubt that another poster would be interested enough to trawl through your posts.
No, if you were that bothered about the above, you wouldn't have started the threads that you have
It's all about stropping because no one is agreeing with you.

Hisanimalgrace · 29/01/2022 21:19

Simone I've done lots of replying on this thread.

Do you feel better though, after your posts about my lack of literacy?

Squid yes. I've written about my pils, personal medical issues, dc medical issues, martial issue's.

Why on earth should I risk any of them being linked because some utterly unfathomable posters want to try and hunt down past threads?

Why?

Something else happened with pils after this and I wanted to see what people thought of that but I can't now .

SimonedeBeauvoirscat · 29/01/2022 21:24

Your posts have become noticeably more coherent so yes clearly I’m pleased that I’ve had a positive effect 😂

Bananarama21 · 29/01/2022 21:32

There's a reason you have issues in your marriage and inlaws I suspect its your lack of boundaries if this thread shown.

Cocogreen · 29/01/2022 21:33

@DropYourSword

Are you the same OP who's PIL didn't want to share a bottle of champagne with you after you invited yourself around to a celebration they we're having no with other friends?
That thread was amazing. Thanks for reminding me of it.

Why don't they trust you in their house?
Do they think you're going to take another 80s tux ?

Bananarama21 · 29/01/2022 21:33

There's always a risk of your thread being published in the daily mail.

Bananarama21 · 29/01/2022 21:34

Op is clearly the champagne op and backed the wrong horse op. You need to consider that you maybe the problem not your inlaws. Ghr fact your getting so defensive about people putting two and two together says it all.

LittleSnakes · 29/01/2022 21:53

I wonder if it’s the same poster as the fly seat woman? With the shopping. She also made not much sense.

And what response did you get from those threads I wonder...
Womencanlift · 29/01/2022 22:10

@RealBecca

If predrinks were 6-730 and you arrived at 720, you still leave at 730. Basic manners not to forcibly extend it. Their house. they clearly wanted to leave at 730. Of course you dont stay there.

Its equivalent to saying you'll pop over to a friends for coffee at 130, turn up at 230 and when they say they need to leave for school run in 20 minutes say you'll wait in their house for them to come back. THATS NOT WHEN YOU WERE INVITED FOR.

Is it too early to nominate for 2022 thread of the year?

This is one of clearest posts about why the OP is unreasonable

OP it is not your house, you were invited for drinks. You don’t get to hang out when the hosts are ready to leave. That is just rude (regardless if it’s family or not)

DropYourSword · 29/01/2022 22:20

Ok, I understand where you're coming from not wanting different threads linked, even if they're all separate and anonymous.
So, whether you're champagne lady and backed the wrong horse or not, have a think for a second why so many of us have connected you with those threads. The OP in each of them sounds incredibly entitled and very oblivious to other people, and refused to get where people were coming from, including all the people who replied on each thread. You may not be those OPs but it's definitely time for some self reflection on your part, considering how sure many posters are you are all the same person.

Alwayscheerful · 29/01/2022 22:28

I thought you sounded familiar , it kept me awake wondering last night.
Champagne lady
&
Backed wrong horse lady.
I feel better now I will sleep tonight

AFS1 · 29/01/2022 23:26

Who bought the tickets?

ChargingBuck · 29/01/2022 23:35

Were all three of you piled into a smart?

Can you try not to be so facetious, @fuzzwuss? OBVIOUSLY, it was a sensible VW.

I have blurred out OP's face to preserve her anonymity, no harm no foul.

Petty pils, didn't wait for us, then moaned about fils old tux
MeSanniesareBrannies · 30/01/2022 00:02

@Hisanimalgrace

Norgie. No.

Because I have as all posters do, the right to anonymity?

What if someone links a thread of mine and I'm truly outed?what's the point of an anonymous forum that's hell bent on outing posters and then revealing them further in the daily mail?

I mean, you could just stop being quite so barmy? Be less nuts in real life OR learn to write comprehensible posts OR actually take on board what people are saying to you.

Any combination of those things would probably solve all these problems.

All of this.
TurkeyRoastvBubbleandSqueek · 30/01/2022 01:12

@SimonedeBeauvoirscat

OP I am very concerned about your communication skills. If this load of garbled incoherent incomplete waffle is your usual standard of communication then I strongly suspect that the main reason you encounter these types of situations in your life is your inability to express yourself clearly.

Do you read - books, newspapers, magazines? I think you need to read more widely and practice setting down your thoughts in a structured and comprehensive manner.

It must greatly affect your day to day life. I can’t imagine you are employable in most jobs, for one thing.

Now that just isn't nice @SimonedeBeauvoirscat the OP is treating us to such a delicious (but also very frustrating), entertaining banquet of hilariousness, where she apparently cannot see the forest (truth) for the saplings (her spectacular inability to understand - or maybe believe - the realities of life).

I have not read further than your post, quoted above, yet, and there are still many pages to go, but I suppose that - I hope that I am not being too horrible here - that the OP continues with her tale for a while yet, as I have not laughed so much in years. I definitely do not want mean posts like yours to put her off!

TurkeyRoastvBubbleandSqueek · 30/01/2022 01:42

@milkyaqua

If it was me I'd be like...you poor things have a rest get yourselves together...

Christ on a bike, you didn't ride bareback on a camel across a desert!

I'm CRYING @milkyaqua

I can't blame it all on you, as pps' and the OP herself have made a big contribution to this sorry state of affairs (and I am also almost wetting myself - sorry if that is tmi). But you dear milkyaqua - are we talking coconutmilk per chance? - are the actual straw that broke this (my) camel's back.
😂😂😂
ps. Thank you!

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 30/01/2022 01:42

I'd just like to say that there are plenty of posters who use defiantly when they mean definitely - to the point where I've started to wonder whether fucking autocorrect is doing it (like it adds spurious apostrophes to plurals, and to words that didn't require it - adding in an apostrophe seems to be the DYAC default position!)

So I don't think that one point can be used to link this OP with the others mentioned. Haven't read the champagne one, but the "backed the wrong horse" poster has a different linguistic style, IMO.

Cocogreen · 30/01/2022 05:19

OP, yes I have been caught in really bad traffic before but when I've arrived so late, I just apologise profusely and say ok let's go!
If I needed the loo I'd run in quickly and then I'd be good to leave - not expect to sit around having a drink.

lololololollll · 30/01/2022 06:18

To be fair there are so many weirdos on here with too much time on their hands that would 100000% go through old posts so they can use against her.

But yeah, stroppy AF 🙈

londonrach · 30/01/2022 07:51

How rude of you to drink rather than get to the event. Don't understand the tuk thing. Did you apologies to your pil. Yabu and rude
