How on earth is Cressida Dick still in her job? Her and Johnson seem to be cats with 10,000 lives! It make no sense to me.

Cressida obviously knows where the bodies are buried

itsgettingweird · 24/01/2022 21:58

Clav do you have that link on speed dial?!

Flowertailbird · 24/01/2022 21:59

How the usual suspects who come on threads like this to defend it can continue to do so when there are posts on here like that from MrsAmaretto says it all.

Their continual repetition of the same support for Boris just shows they can't be reasoned with. Maybe they should try a bit of empathy and compassion and put as much passion in feeding these emotions as they do into defending the indefensible behaviour of a man who could not care one bit about them or anyone other than himself.

Mandy63l · 24/01/2022 22:00

@Clavinova you’ve gone very, very quiet.

It’s not a difficult question. Is it an acceptable example for a PM to set to a 7 year old, to ask her to cancel her own birthday party and thank her for doing so, when having a good old knees up (or 10) of his own?

Blossomtoes · 24/01/2022 22:00

@ImJustMadAboutSaffron

What does Chris Whitty have to say about all of this?
Who cares? He was just the useful idiot.
Roussette · 24/01/2022 22:01

Clavinova I'm on this thread be ause it's talking about OUR government and Johnson.
Not Macron, Denmark, Sweden, Biden and any other desperate whataboutism you are lamely clinging to

PermanentTemporary · 24/01/2022 22:01

Ooh turns out Gove has been expressing support for Johnson! My mistake.

TooManyPlatesInMotion · 24/01/2022 22:03

@mrsamaretto I am so sorry. Your mum deserved so much more.

Clavinova · 24/01/2022 22:04

Clavinova Do you think it is appropriate for the Prime Minister to be having birthday cake with friends whilst telling children that they cannot do the same

They could meet up with five friends for a birthday party outside I believe - including private gardens from 1 June 2020. Zoos and safari parks could open from 15 June 2020...

If Boris Johnson ate birthday cake for less than 10 minutes at work - I'm not going to condemn him for that.

@PermanentTemporary

He would express support for a shit if he thought it would keep him in some type of power job, out of all of them, I have a special dislike for Gove (probably because he is my MP)
BlowDryRat · 24/01/2022 22:05

Why the actual F is he still PM?

Roussette · 24/01/2022 22:05

Course you're not. And let's not mention the other 30 people including Carrie and the interior designer ...oh no sirree

BringBackCoffeeCreams · 24/01/2022 22:07

And then the second birthday party later the same day in his private flat.
SickAndTiredAgain · 24/01/2022 22:08

If Boris Johnson ate birthday cake for less than 10 minutes at work - I'm not going to condemn him for that.

Or anything else, I imagine.

So you do think it is appropriate for the Prime Minister to be having birthday cake with friends when children could not do the same.

Are you working with Michael Fabricant to get rid or Boris Johnson?

Jetstream · 24/01/2022 22:08

I live in Ireland. Everyone I know are throughly enjoying all the shenanigans. Makes our lot look great in comparison.
I mean who would trust Boris, sorry Alex Johnson to organise a p1ss up in a brewery let alone run a country.

So it was just school that most of them weren't allowed to go to then by the Party Prime Minister

@Clavinova we all know that you are not going to condemn Johnson for anything ever

PinkTonic · 24/01/2022 22:10

I can’t recall ever being at a catered meeting where someone’s wife and their interior designer arrived to join in, and brought a celebration cake

Well I’ve never been at a catered meeting where anyone’s wife lived on the premises, but I have been at plenty where people not involved in the meeting but already in the building popped in for a bit of lunch.

He’s proved himself to be quite adept at organising piss ups in a Government office though. 🤦‍♂️😂

As Private Eye pointed out, the one thing he does seem good at is organising p1 ss ups.
PermanentTemporary · 24/01/2022 22:11

It seems that other people organising piss ups for him, in a brewery or not, is exactly what he CAN do.

Incidentally, if Johnson was at a party for ten minutes, is anybody pregnant?

Roussette · 24/01/2022 22:12

Exactly Jet
Ten minutes my arse, he lies continually. That's proven.
It will not have been 10 minutes.

CPL593H · 24/01/2022 22:13

The Cabinet Room is 12.8 x 7.92 metres. Can someone with better maths than me clarify if it would be possible for 30 people to socially distance in there, just as a matter of interest? (I'm thinking not)

Undercovva · 24/01/2022 22:14

Do you reckon Carrie will still fancy him when he's not Primeminister anymore?

Mandy63l · 24/01/2022 22:15

@Clavinova

Own up, if News broke tomorrow that Boris Johnson has raped somebody, you’d be the first one in with “did you see the way she was dressed” wouldn’t you? 🤬

Stop trying to defend the indefensible, even his own party, for the most part, can see that. He’s done, and it’s very much all his own doing.

It’s not even about the politics now, it’s about no longer being a fucking laughing stock. My God, when Thatcher is looking the lesser of two evils you know things are bad.

Admit it Clavinova, he’s broken the rules (that he created) repeatedly and he’s lied about it (repeatedly). I don’t care about your opinion, just the facts. He has, hasn’t he?
