... A 2 day stay at a really really nice hotel/spa with highly rated restaurant for me and my DSis.

First world problems I know :(

But I still feel unhappy enough about to NC, and make a post. On the positive side I have mentioned wanting to go there in the past. I do get on with my DSis (we're close, but she is not my best friend)

Don't know what I was expecting really, but not this!

Loving how you focus on your terrible disappointment while dismissing the mini break as unsuitable for your DSiS.

She might feel that a hideaway at a posh hotel is just the ticket after her horrible assault. But you are planning not to tell her, so you can invite someone else. So she doesn't even get the option.
How supportive of you. I'm sure your spoiled skiing holiday was way more traumatic than her sexual assault.

Is 2 days looking out for your poor sister too much of an ask for you?

Have you demonstrated to your unappreciated DH how ungrateful you are for his thoughtfulness?

That sort of thing pisses me off.
There should have been more information in the OP.
I voted that you were not being unreasonable on the basis of the OP - where you failed to mention the ski trip with your husband and also failed to mention the problems your sister has been having.
So I've changed my vote now. YABU.
Your DH was not able to go away at this time so he thoughtfully came up with an idea to treat you and your sister to some time away, knowing that your sister hasn't been well.

At first I could kind of understand your disappointment. However after your update... you are being ungrateful. This is a bonus present. It's lovely and thoughtful. You've arranged nothing for him, so why on earth would you have even expected something else?

@Horriblewoman given that she was sexually assaulted, typical spa activities like having your body exposed (even in a swimsuit) and being touched by strangers (in a non sexual context by a woman such as a massage)?can be very difficult. Is that so hard to imagine?
