I am a GC feminist. But I am also a carer. I have a teenage disabled daughter.

Frankly I can't limit my voting choices based on GC issues.

There are 7 million carers in the UK. 58% are women.

Well, they're all or mostly women so the answer is, under a Labour government, they'll be unable to say their predicament has anything to do with their sex. As Susan B Anthony famously said "no self respecting woman would wish or work for the success of any party that ignores her sex."

As far as I’m concerned, Labour along with Lib Dem SNP Green Plaid Cymru etc are all going along with something that is patently untrue vis men can become women by saying that they are one

Now there is no way they actually really believe that. There is no way they believe any one can change sex. They also do know that biological women are at greater physical risk of attack from men, are the only sex that gets pregnant, have been discriminated against for centuries simply for being women. They know all that - or they’re catastrophically stupid

So either they’re catastrophically stupid or worse they are prepared to go along with something they know is untrue and will harm women because they think it’s a vote winner or that women don’t matter

And that makes me wonder who or what else they’d be prepared to throw under the bus so why on earth would I vote for them

I have the luxury of doing this, though, because I live in a very safe Labour seat. My vote counts for nothing. If I lived in a marginal constituency I'd have to think far longer and harder about this.

Last general election there was an excelllent gender critical Green Party candidate in our constituency, so I voted for her.

Labour don't know what women are, so they certainly won't be able to be helping disabled women or women in poverty.

I am a disabled woman and I can not vote labour because of the GRA issue. I am also a carer and think it is important for my disabled daughter to not be cared for or exposed to males in female spaces.

I hope those sufficiently privileged to be able to vote on this one issue or spoil their ballot paper will be happy to see a Conservative government in power for the foreseeable future.

@Notonthestairs look I am with you. Issue is. If women lose this battle we will never get it back. Now we need to dig in over this issue. Then once we have it we can then go back to dealing with the other shit. We cannot let this one be lost or it will be lost forever.

It’s not our fault that Labour have behaved like such utter tests over this issue

They have been asked time & time again to stop parroting TWAW, calling women bigots for not agreeing & for failing to publicly support one of their own MPs

This is a huge issue and yet they seem completely oblivious to it and every so often one of them makes some stupid statement. Yes looking at Lammy and Nandy and to top it all they then have Starmer who doesn’t seem to be able to guide any of them.

If they carry on like this they are 100% going to lose again despite what Boris and co do.
