Have always voted labour, would never do so now. No clue who I will vote for.

CustardCreamsAndMintTea · 20/01/2022 21:14

Me

Aposterhasnoname · 20/01/2022 21:15

Me! Will, never, ever vote for a party that doesn’t know what a woman is.

JugglingJanuary · 20/01/2022 21:15

I wouldn't vote labour for other reasons, but if I had been wavering, this & their other woke/women/trans shite would make it an absolute NFW.

user1471504747 · 20/01/2022 21:20

I think there are too many issues impacting me that means I simply can’t allow myself to be a single issue voter, which will probably end up with the tories in again.

I would vote labour but that’s pointless where I am, so would vote Lib Dems tactically.

If you are a single issue voter and this is going to lead you to vote to Tories I would question just how much you care about women as the majority of their policies when it comes to austerity disproportionately impact women. And all of this trans stuff has really come to a head so how much are they really doing to stop it anyway?

SDP aren’t any better either, far too closely aligned with UKIP members and some of their policies really give me the shivers.

BrightYellowDaffodil · 20/01/2022 21:21

They don't get my X if they don't respect my sex. Sorry Labour, all the time you peddle this woke shit, I'll not be back.

DeckardK · 20/01/2022 21:22

I won't be voting labour. My (female) labour MP is an embarrassment on this and I won't vote for anyone who doesn't care about protecting women.

I am now homeless too as I will not ever vote Tory.

@Notonthestairs

So where does this leave disabled women?

Or carers?

Or women living in poverty?

Exactly.
Arseanall · 20/01/2022 21:24

RememberThePenguins · 20/01/2022 21:25

I'm gender critical but I believe that more harm will be done to women via poverty and increasing costs of living than the trans rights issue. So I will vote Labour.

Blessex · 20/01/2022 21:25

Won’t vote Labour because of this shambles

If we have to vote this year or the next, women who will not vote Labour due to the GRA raise your hand
StillWeRise · 20/01/2022 21:25

I would certainly be raising this issue on the doorstep and directly with any potential candidate
I would be indicating that I would be voting accordingly
however when push comes to shove I will never ever vote tory and getting rid of the tories is a priority for me- so it's unlikely I would either spoil my ballot paper or not vote labour
And, if you are from the LP and reading this, don't think I won't be asking IN PUBLIC AT THE HUSTINGS about rapists in women's prisons. So you had better get your act together before then. You don't want the general public to see how far down the rabbit hole you have gone, do you?

Toseland · 20/01/2022 21:26

✋🏽 I’m not voting for them - and if they call I’ll tell them on the doorstep yet again - perhaps this year they won’t get away from denying all knowledge on the subjects of gender and women’s rights. It’s nuts. We’ve been disenfranchised all over again - there is nobody to vote for.

Perhaps some of these single issue voters would like to define some of the ways women have benefited under the Tories. Not to mention the beginnings of the GRA...

userlotsanumbers · 20/01/2022 21:27

cannot believe I am saying this but yes. Absolutely not voting for them and that is the reason why. I never thought this day would come, tbh

MindTheGapMoveAlong · 20/01/2022 21:27

No, because the denigration of women, and womens’ rights has to stop and Labour aren’t standing up to it, they’re actively encouraging it from the grass roots up.
And nowhere is safe from it

Porcupineintherough · 20/01/2022 21:27

I cant decide.

If I dont vote labour because of this then I cant vote Lib Dem or Green for the same reason. Which leaves the conservatives who I wouldn't vote for for 100 other reasons. So then what?

Not a chance. Nope.
It's a bit shit.

Exactly this.

I think if you’re going to say you’re a single issue voter on this topic you have to recognise you’re fortunate enough to not be put at risk by the Conservative policies. And also that you’re knowingly throwing vulnerable women under the bus to achieve probably not very much. Realistically what have the Tory government done to stop any of the issues people are saying will stop them voting labour? They’re letting it all happen.

littledrummergirl · 20/01/2022 21:29

We need someone articulate to write an open letter to the Keir Starmer and the parliamentary Labour Party letting them know in no uncertain terms why they are not credible due to this issue and then get it out there to be signed.
