I don't care. Dotty. Tick away. Makes no odds to me what you do. I see you didn't give it much thought though. I guess thats what comes from having a set script that you can't move away from.
Night night. ✅

@MrBlobbyLivesNextDoor ?
Tories have witnessed huge downturn in popularity
Labour leading in the opinion polls, Johnson ridiculed and detested.
Post about Angela Rayner becoming PM attracts usual derogatory thinly disguised misogynistic remarks
Post about self ID and Labour/ would you vote for them suddenly appears

Nope not voting Labour, not the party for women or common sense.

Politics4me · 22/01/2022 08:24

I am a Tory, wife now a Tory used to be a LibDem. Son, Daughter, DiL, most likely LibDem until now.
None of us supporting Boris.
Son in NHS, very fed up with the way the Left try and skew every little detail of changes to working techniques or roster as politically motivated or requiring a political response. Efficiency and effectiveness are secondary.
It won't need any outside agency to destroy NHS. The junior staff, at 'nurse or technician level' are doing it step by step every day where he works.

This is one that comes up a lot. Anyone who disagrees politically and votes against labour must be must be Tory HQ.

I think I need to colour code the ticks as this is straight from the labour cheat sheet rather that the TRA cheat sheet. Although the two do over lap. Hmm. Ok. I'll double tick.

Trying grasp what policies on self ID these parties have? rather than comments made... which are not policies at all.

I read the Greens & lab manifestos from 2019 and can't find anything solid and as far as i'm aware no party has written up their next GE manifesto's......

Given a rape victim today (if it ever went to trial) would wait until 2025 and DV victim would wait 704 days for her day in court, i will not be voting Tory.

It’s nice to read a level headed post in a sea of hysteria. You can’t decide on a manifesto to vote for before that manifesto is written. If you want the manifesto to go in your favour write to your MP get petitions going, anything that lets said party know what issues matter. But, and this is the important bit, read ALL the manifesto and make an informed choice.

People not agreeing with T*'s gc feminists = TRA

Such nuanced debate

Why put the derogatory word at all? Even if you have stars and crossed it out

Just leave it out?

Tories are great at divide and rule. If only they were as good at governance.

The whole TRA bullshit wars suits them down to the ground.

Calling people a slur and complaining about the nuance of the debate 🙄

I repeat from earlier.

Terf has self it'd as a new acronym. It now wishes to be known as Tired of Explaining Reality to Feckwits.

I really do think we should all be kind and affirm it's new identity, after all, it won't cost you anything.

Clymene · 22/01/2022 09:00

Is @EeeICouldRipATissue going to return and answer the question?

MrBlobbyLivesNextDoor · 22/01/2022 09:01

Scrabblecrabapple

On the GP website.

The Green Party believes that trans, non-binary, genderqueer, third gender, and intersex people should have their gender legally recognised and be empowered to update their birth certificate and any other official documents, without medical or state encumbrance. We support the right for individuals to update their legally recognised gender by self-determination, the only requirement being a statutory declaration, to how they would describe their gender, including having the option to change their name on all documents.

I don't need to read the manifesto. I can't back a party who has these policies.

Isn't it funny how talking about women's rights somehow means we're trying to be nasty to trans people? It's almost like women aren't allowed to centre themselves at all, not for a minute.

ponders thoughtfully on why that would be a problem

DeckardK · 22/01/2022 09:05

Returned to this thread when I saw the number of posts hoping to find some genuine debate from 'the other side'. No, just the usual insults and non-responses to requests for details. Sigh.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 22/01/2022 09:05

2019 Labour manifesto committed to upholding single sex exemptions & then promptly under mined it womansplaceuk.org/2019/11/26/labour-clarifies-commitment-to-single-sex-exemptions/

Green Party explicitly states they will bring in self declaration www.greenparty.org.uk/assets/files/Elections/LGBTIQACommitment2019.pdf

Liberal Democrat manifesto says they will complete reform
Of the GRA www.libdems.org.uk/plan

The conservative manifesto makes no mention of the GRA

HaroldMeeker · 22/01/2022 09:09

Again, for those who find this difficult to understand (or who, perhaps, have a deliberate agenda in not understanding, ie being able to throw insults around - what fun!)....

Deciding NOT to vote for Labour doesnt automatically mean a person will vote for the Conservatives instead.

MrBlobbyLivesNextDoor · 22/01/2022 09:11

I think the labour parties position is pretty clear on this. They back self ID.

I don't want to be in a position where one party can do what the fuck they like, because the others are no longer viable options to woman who won't support their own erasure. But this is where we are. And it's a very dark place.

RaininSummer · 22/01/2022 09:13
