Do you, or have you ever lived alone?

I have not, home, uni, then home briefty and moved in with then bf now dh. I sometimes think how I would have liked to have my own apartment at some point and lived by myself, not get settled down at 21. Now it probably wont happen of course, just one of those things....i watch these dramas and feel a tiny ping of envy seeing someone going back to their own apartment, pouring their wine and just doing what they like! Of course wouldn't change my house of teens and pets and comings and goings but the thought of my 20's in my own apartment, would have been nice......

I’ve lived alone, with housemates and with partners/kid. All had their pros and cons but the best by far was living alone. Amazing to go back and not have to answer to anyone but myself.

I’ve lived alone since I was 21, I’m now in mid-40s. I love it, and will never live with someone else.
The peace and freedom are worth anything to me. I like solitude and silence and can honestly say I’ve never felt lonely in my home. It’s blissful.

This is a zombie. Not the oldest of zombies, but nevertheless

I love living alone most of the time but draw the line at working and living alone. I’m happy to have my open plan office job to leave the house for everyday.

For me having a pet makes it much less lonely.

Never lived at home till early 20s then moved in with hubby.30 years later still going. Don't even like being alone in the house much 😒

Interestingly, since this thread started teen Dd has become so utterly obnoxious and treats me with such contempt, I have been looking for an apartment to move to alone. Dh can keep her.

But no, I have still never lived alone. Just craving it the past few months.
