@TenSteps Congrats about the car! But good grief about getting t-boned. I've always had some whiplash after those kinds of accidents. Were you in it at the time? And I think almost always wash it before they start working on it, but then maybe I've just been lucky. And so srory about your carpal tunnel. I know someone who had just dreaful nerve pain from that, so I can understand the desire to get the surgery and get it now. As a sidenote, the surgery DID help them tremendously with both nerve pain and
@FelicityFlops That sounds quite lovely if my brain actually worked that way. No one bothering you, some lovely quiet time, and your'e still getting enough sleep. And puttering with coffee is one of life's great joys. Just stay away from that new bastard, Wordle.
@Giggorata For some reason, I saw "fencing" and immediately thought of the sword fighting kind and not the "surround the back garden" kind. Can you tell this new COVID no-sleep thing isn't going well? I hope you and DH have a good time either surrounding your garden OR having a duel, whatever works.
@CrazyCrazyLady Oh. No. I've had those symptoms recently. No one can really understand unless they've had one and I don't think men can understand because theirs aren't the same. But yes, if you're having that, "I've just gone, but I never stop feeling like I need to go, AND it's VERY unpleassant," then I'm so sorry! I hope you feel better soon and get out of the loo.
@CrumblyCrimble Night sweats are so gross and uncomfortable; I'm sorry! And the whole damn song and dance o having to change everything and then find a dry area to sleep in. I hope you can get back to bed soon (or may already be there!
@Fooshufflewickjbannanapants Hey, congrats to puppy! These things should be celebrated in life, even if it's unfortunately at 4am. At least it's not on the carpet at 4am.
@Sanada You know, this is the time I wake up when I'm most stiff/painful with an autoimmune disease, so it could be that there's something about this time of night where our body does... a thing? Reaches peak... something? Can you tell I am a very smart, adult scientific person. Good Lord. But I do completely understand what you mean. I hope it passes for you and you get some through sleep soon.
@Snog Oh no, how horribly stressful. She has the event: stress. You take her to A&E: more stress. You can't stay with your DD: even more stress. While you may end up being more comfortable at home, and more rested for when she needs your help, I'm sure you'd much rather be with her, and I hope you get news very soon. I also hope she's okay! All my fingers crossed for you.
I'm up and scared. I've got this feeling like the veins behind my eyes are just... wrong. Like they're under pressure. I told my friend yesterday, when I had COVID last, it was alpha, and it seemed to attack my breathing problems. Now this omicron seems to attack my vein problems. Might try to sleep for a few hours and if it still feels like this or worse, might have to hospital. And i don't want to. Wish me luck
