Silver Tiffany earrings that match a necklace I have. I was really, really surprised and over the moon, as usually he’s absolutely awful at gifts (genuinely he’s terrible, although he tries so hard); and he gets especially anxious about buying me jewelry because he’s afraid he’ll “get it wrong”, so he has never bought me jewelry on his own before.

I don’t have any other Tiffany jewelry apart from the one silver necklace (and now earrings), but he announced proudly as I opened it that, “A Tiffany’s box is always a good gift”, and it absolutely melted me.

I am always thankful, because he is such a generous person in spite of being clueless about presents, and he does try. But he knew he did good this year and strutted about all day with a grin on, and so did I. Grin

Ticket to see Elton John with DH. I've never ever expressed any interest in Elton John plus I'm going to have to tell work that I'm ill as I work in a school so that isn't ideal. I'm not sure if I like my present or not to be honest.

Violinist64 · 27/12/2021 00:01

A red Radley handbag with a matching key ring.

Workinghardeveryday · 27/12/2021 00:01

Nothing.

Whatafustercluck · 27/12/2021 00:01

A pair of converse pumps, a Pandora charm of Eeyore (I jokingly refer to him as Eeyore) and a massager. He's done very well.

sobercuriouskind · 27/12/2021 00:06

My favourite perfume (I'd suggested that) and some lovely bath bits including a candles, bubble bath and salts for me to relax with, really thoughtful.

MackenCheese · 27/12/2021 00:11

Big Neom candle

EdinaMonsoon · 27/12/2021 00:12

DH usually asks me for a list but didn't this year (22 years of lists; 22 years of really wanting a surprise rather than a pretty good idea of what would be under the tree). I'm thrilled with my presents. To me, they show that he's really thought about what I would actually like.

Louis Vuitton scarf that I have lusted after since 2006
Candle that smells of my favourite aromas: oud & rose
Jimmy Carr Autobiography
Bath oil
Chocolates

ChimpyChops · 27/12/2021 00:14

Uggs (not asked for and very surprising!)
Soap and Glory box set
Baby Yoda water bottle
2 charms for my bracelet
Socks

My ex husband bought me, from my eldest son -

A scarf I had heavily hinted at to the 14 year old.
Hotel Chocolat chocolates
Lush bath bombs

Keladrythesaviour · 27/12/2021 00:16

My perfume, which I asked for, albeit not quite the right one but still nice (and very similar) and a cookery book out of a list I asked for. Happy Smile

7eleven · 27/12/2021 00:18

A painting, a silver necklace and a silver bracelet.

Skinnytailedsquirrel · 27/12/2021 00:24

Haven't bought each other a present for "christmas" for the past 20 years (thank goodness). He is the most generous, kind man however we both feel the same about this time of year.

rossclare · 27/12/2021 00:29

An Apple watch, airpods and a 6 night holiday to Barbados!

I’ve been no a good girl this year (actually the holiday is kinda replacing the one cancelled at beginning of cv, but he’s still booked it all up, staying in my favourite hotel ever. He ‘gave’ it to me Love Actually style).

crispsinasandwich · 27/12/2021 00:34

@whojamaflip

A wool duvet that I have been lusting after for the last 12 months - turns out he does listen! 😂 and a pair of new slippers as my old ones were held together with duct tape! 😳
Can I be nosy and ask about the wool duvet please? Is it like a weighted blanket? Thank you
musicviking1 · 27/12/2021 00:34

We don't really do presents at Christmas, we buy a few tokenistic things to open in front of the children but we know what they are. We just buy things when we want.

SaraKatie · 27/12/2021 00:37

Emerald earrings that I don’t really like at all in terms of how they look, but I like that he chose them and went to effort (effort because I love emeralds, just not mad on the style etc.) so overall really pleased and will wear them all the time because of this. 😂

ThorsMistress · 27/12/2021 00:38

A Micheal Kors cross body bag with my initials on and a pair of fluffy Ugg slippers/shoes

He did good!

ParvaAvis · 27/12/2021 00:44

Eau de Soir perfume. My absolute favourite perfume, and I only buy it or receive it very, very occasionally as it’s so blinking expensive! I had no idea he was going to buy it for me! 😱😍.

A Russian fairy tales book, a Grimms fairy tales book and a book of folktales from the area where I live. All spot-on books for me.

Floral jeans that I chose back in November.

I’m very lucky and he does spoil me rotten.

FuckeryIsAfoot · 27/12/2021 00:45

A Nintendo switch, a couple of games for it, a book, a bottle of perfume and a couple of slightly personal things Wink I have also requested a new frying pan as another gift Grin

TheDogsMother · 27/12/2021 00:59

A pair of country boots, tickets to Hampton Court Flower Show, Afternoon Tea and Tour at a Country House. Love them all.

HippyMoon · 27/12/2021 01:01

A voucher to my hairdressers, some new headphones, a portable laptop table, a new cable for my speaker, and a pamper box full of bath bombs, insense, massage cream etc. Perfect!

decadance · 27/12/2021 01:03

My favourite Marc jacobs perfume, he went to get it from boots even though i told him not to as he has parkinsons and struggles to walk, i haven't opened it as he had a massive stroke on xmas eve, he is in the stroke unit now at Charing cross hopsital, it was too late for them to operate on him to remove the clot, he has a chest infection and is in a very bad way, they asked me do i want to rescucitate and of course i said yes, i'm still in complete shock, we have been married 34 years and he is the love of my life, i was very lucky to meet such an amazing man, i found a xmas card in the drawer today to my beautiful wife at xmas, he could hardly write now with his parkinsons, if any of you meet a man like this hold onto him, he was meant to meet his 2nd grandaughter born on 28th november on xmas eve, i will never get over it, just praying he survives

Christmas Day together, which is a gift in itself! Fortnum and Mason christmas hamper, Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser and Hotel Chocolat chocolate gratings to use with it, a new electric toothbrush- I'd hinted at this and I'm thrilled with it, some slinky thong knickers and he's paying to get my favourite pearl necklace restrung. He also bought me a lovely Christmas candle we've been enjoying all month. Feel so, so lucky.

My dad got my mum: chanel perfume she wanted, foot cream and treatments she wanted, and a pot of ponds cold cream to try; she asked for a bottle of Anne French cleanser as it suits her skin atm but they've stopped making that so he got her this to try instead.

MrsToothyBitch · 27/12/2021 01:26

@decadance I am so sorry you and your DH are going through this. Your DH sounds utterly wonderful in every way and I can see just why you love him.
