in not paying for my bottle of apple juice in tesco this morning

i was running late this morning and could not find ds's juice bottle for lunch, i made a mad dash to tesco (parked in disabled space and left both ds's in car while i ran in ) picked up a bottle of apple juice 49p and went to the self serve till.

when i ran the bottle through i realised i only had 20p in my purse so i went to use my swich card which it would no accept??

i had a quick look around, no one was looking so i picked up the bottle and ran out to the car, the self serve till was showing some "alternative payment" message.

i spend £££ in this tesco, but what i did was still stealing i suppose. had i not taken the bottle though ds would of had no juice in his lunch, we arrived 5 mins late to school as it was without having to run home for another 29p to pay for juice.

should i go back and pay now or try and be more organised in future???

You know they'll be waiting for you (cctv piture in hand) next time you go shopping?

They do that you know, they have a 'most wanted' meeting most days at Tesco.

you should go back and pay, not only because it is stealing, but also in penance for the crimes of leaving your children in the car in a DISABLED space! DS could have drunk water.

I wouldn't have had the guts to do it and you do know it's wrong so don't lose any sleep over it.

When my dc's where still in buggies I did put something on the top of the buggy to buy and then forget and walk out of the shop a couple of times.

you parked in a disabled space and then nicked some apple juice?

were you actually disabled at the time?

thought not

stop nicking other people's spaces it was not an emergency no-one was dying from a lack of juice

nicking apple juice is just the icing on the cake imo

applejuice the ss tills have very good cctv coverage for this reason. The car parks are also so well monitored they can read number plates I would be worried

envisions elderly disabled couple parking miles away from store as the person who took their space goes in to steal.

Report

ConnorTraceptive · 20/12/2007 15:59

yes yad the self serve is quite good

Report

Cappuccino · 20/12/2007 15:59

yes exactly Connor

I have circled disabled spaces with my disabled dd in the car many times while watching perfectly able people hop into the store 'just for a minute'

Ah but perhaps she is mentally disabled as to think nicking the apple juice was a good plan, so maybe then the disabled space is ok?????

THis is a wind up. How can you ask if you were unreasonable in parking in a disabled bay and nicking from a shop. Pathetic.
