To think I’m losing this pregnancy :-(

Found out I was pregnant Monday morning after a long battle with infertility and being told it was unlikely we’d conceive even with IVF. As you can imagine, I couldn’t believe my eyes (had to go out and get a digital to see the word pregnant with my own eyes, which it did!)

I was 11DPO when I found out, due AF tomorrow. Today I’m 13 DPO, did a test this morning and lines are still strong, but since Monday evening I’ve been having brown discharge intermittently when I wipe.

Last night there was a pinky discharge when I wiped, this morning after I did my test there was brown.

I know there’s nothing I can do but wait and see what happens Sad I’m just gutted. I’ve wanted this for so long and when I got that strong line on Monday and positive digital I swear I was SO unbelievably happy but since the brown discharge started I’ve been a nervous mess.

I’m just convinced I’m going to come on tomorrow and it’ll have been a chemical 😔

I’ve attached some photos of my tests, should the lines be darker by now? Top Clear Blue is Monday’s test, bottom clear blue is yesterday’s test, didn’t have one for this morning. The others are easy @ homes from the last couple of days and then the one on its own not on paper is from this morning.

Huge congratulations OP! I'm so happy for you. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 17/12/2021 11:33

In my area you self refer to the midwives. My GP had nothing to do with my pregnancy!

Mummytotwonow · 17/12/2021 11:48

I am so pleased to see your update and keeping everything crossed for you!! ThanksThanks

@Pearldrops04

Thank you. Given the fact I’m still so worried something is going to go wrong (and it very well could, I only missed my period yesterday!) I’m going to wiat another couple of weeks before calling. I think that’s sensible.
I'd book in ASAP in case there's a backlog and you struggle to get an appointment later. I didn't find out I was pregnant for about 8 weeks so it pushed everything back as I had trouble getting booked in

I think that's sensible. There's nothing but waiting to be done at this point. Booking in appointment at 8-10 weeks, scan at 12. I've never had my pregnancies 'confirmed' by midwife or Dr just the scans!
Greenrubber · 17/12/2021 18:27

@Pearldrops04

I know you want to wait
I think it's about the 6-8 week mark that you see the midwife

My midwife was so so busy I couldn't get an appointment so it might be worth checking how busy your local midwife is before you put it off

It messed up my 12 week scan also because I couldn't get the appointment so that ended up being 14 weeks which is past the time where the NHS can test for certain syndromes

I got a private harmony test anyway so I wasn't bothered I just remember the sonographer saying I would of been too late

Nocutenamesleft · 17/12/2021 18:30

I had bleeding with my second

She’s here a healthy 7 yr old. I was told I was miscarrying. That it happened in 25% of pregnancies wnd how I should be joyous that I could get pregnant.

She was fine. Hand hold. It’s ok sometimes. Xx

AgentDavid · 18/12/2021 10:18

I'd definitely contact the GP or midwife, depending on area. Firstly, so you get an appointment in time, secondly so that, if the worst was to happen, there would be a record and if there were multiple losses, they could monitor.

Not to scare and it's more likely that everything will be great!! But in my case, I got extra early scans as I'd had two losses (one was a chemical) which was reassuring third time round 😀

Good luck and congrats!! 💐

Lovely update. Congratulations!

Leilala · 13/02/2022 20:34

I had exactly the same. Brown discharge then pink turns out there was a bit of a haematoma (bruise) that was causing it.

Try not to worry.

Everything was fine, DD is over my shoulder now at 8 months old (ear infection so can’t put her down)

I was also worried sick I had prepared for the worst 100 times over. No amount of worry helped or would have either way. Fingers crossed everything goes well for you.

As hard as it is, try not to worry.

Pearldrops04 · 13/02/2022 20:34

Thank you all Smile very excited!

@Stath, sick as a dog, morning —all day/ night— sickness has been absolutely kicking my backside but I’m hoping that’ll improve soon and I can relax and enjoy it more.
