Joggers make leggings look classy!

For many years i only saw men wearing them, men who appeared to have either given up or had a work/sport related excuse, or else they wore them to show off food, oil or snot stains. They sagged like giant nappies and made everyone look depressed and a bit waynetta slob. Perhaps I have bad associations as in the early 2000's my friend's abusive older partner wore them, crotch halfway down his legs, like a giant, aggressive, untidy marshmallow.

Then suddenly they were high fashion, have almost overtook jeans and leggings on ladies clothing websites and I just don't get it! I wouldn't judge someone for wearing them (this wouldn't occur to me in real life)) but im amazed at their popularity! I get that they're probably warm, comfy, but jeez they make leggings look high class, at least leggings go with anything and look sleek and comfy if you suit them.

It depends on the person. My young, slim daughter looks lovely in joggers - I look homeless 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would never have been seen dead outside the house in joggers 20 years ago. But I’m 41 now, I have chronic disabilities and I live in the middle of the countryside. Joggers are warm and comfortable. And given they’re currently “in” I’m embracing them and going with it. I wear them with bright sweatshirts and chunky trainers and a long warm coat. Happy days.

I look great in grey joggers.

It isn’t it odd how nasty some people become when they don’t have others falling at their feet ti agree with them.

Sounds like you're the one getting uptight OP.

I look great in joggers, leggings, yoga pants. I'll wear any of them wherever I want and feel confident. In summer I wear them with sleeveless fitted sports vest tops and in winter I wear them with oversized hoodies. I'm also very chilled about it so if you don't like it that's fine.

Depends on the fit of the joggers. Tailored joggers look nice although I don’t own any. Leggings will never be classy, especially the black ones where you can see women’s knickers! Good quality sports leggings are for working out.

I used to say this about trainers and now I live in mine. I think you can def make joggers looks good/cool and they're obvs comfy. I don't think they suit me personally but I look at some hot chicks in them and get jealous that I can't pull them off (not literally)

I feel fucking ace in joggers. Sorry, but I do. Usually I have my running shorts underneath them as I'll be going on a run later. They're cosy and lovely and don't look ridiculous with my running top, hoody and running shoes like jeans would.
In fact I need more pairs.

I think the lighter ones often get dirty really quickly. Just saw two girls wearing pink and grey ones (respectively) and they were obviously a bit muddy cos of the weather. You can't see that with jeans

I have grey sweatpants according to the judgey ones on MN I'm really common. I find it amusing.

This thread is based on the incorrect premise that leggings are a bad thing.

@bagelsandbrie - I think they look great with a long coat. There's an influencer on Insta who often styles like that.
