Given the fiasco of the last few days how can he possibly stay in office?

How can the Tories possibly think he is useful to them anymore when his private and work life are intertwined in sleaze and lie upon lie?

They say you reap what you sow. If this is true how is BJ even employed or in a relationship?

Aibu to expect an announcement from him soon. I live in hope.

The “we were working together argument” just doesn’t cut it. Hospitals, factories, supermarkets, schools were full of people working intensely daily. Where I worked last December we were expected to eat alone. We were unable to have hot drinks because offices and communal spaces were closed to try and prevent transmission between staff. We had frequent reminders from bosses of our duty to prevent transmission between staff, not to chat together, not to eat together, because there was a crisis and we had to do everything we could to keep working. That’s why we weren’t at home - because we were key workers who were needed to keep the country going and keep people safe… We certainly weren’t having bloody parties!!

I don’t even know why he’s putting himself through it at this point. He doesn’t look like he’s enjoying himself, in that position I’d quit, spend a bit of my time with newborn baby and toddler and make lots more money doing something else because let’s face it, these types always fall on their feet.

GaolBhoAlba · 12/12/2021 12:38

The imposition of bans bothers me more than the breaking thereof (yeah, I said it).

Bojo however IS a liability in many important areas, but there is no one who'd be preferrable (Gove? Opposition wise, Starmer or Rayner? 😳). So where does that leave us? Its a lose/lose.

Choirgirl2021 · 12/12/2021 21:15

Rory Stewart needs to join the Labour party

Seemslikeagoodidea · 12/12/2021 22:46

@Choirgirl2021 Well, maybe he would rejoin the cons if Bojo was out of the picture.

Storminamu · 12/12/2021 23:44

It's not just Johnson.

GreenLunchBox · 13/12/2021 00:03

@dayouttobangor

Rory Stewart is no longer an MP.

I think it will be 2022 before Mr Johnson goes, even if on Thursday the Tories lose the by-election.

What is Rory Stewart doing these days?

Yeah, poor guy

Wow. Two years as PM and in that time he's got divorced, had a baby, almost died from covid, got married, had another baby. Oh yeah, there's also been Brexit, a pandemic and other shit happening. People are complaining about his hair ...I'm shocked he has hair left. Poor thing, he's really had lots on his plate.

GreenLunchBox · 13/12/2021 00:12

Oops, he got covid before the first baby was born

GreenLunchBox · 13/12/2021 00:13

Any of those things on their own are traumatic, maybe apart from getting married.

Peregrina · 13/12/2021 01:31

Perhaps the silly chump shouldn't have gone round shaking hands with Covid patients then.

Then of course he could have stuck to his marriage vows and wouldn't now be starting a second/third family , not that I expect he will be doing much in the way of childcare.

He'd missed a couple of meetings so how was he supposed to know there was a bloody PANDEMIC, ffs. He's not God
Thedogscollar · 13/12/2021 01:59

He's not God
Yet he thinks he is.

He also lost his mum a few weeks ago. It's been a helluva 2 years.
tenredthings · 13/12/2021 06:50

I can imagine he'd quite like to cut out before the full implication of Brexit customs regulations kick in in January 2022. He's a puppet and will do what his Libertarian overlords tell
Him to.

Yep, my feeling is that he'll bow out 'to spend time with his family' in the new year, letting whoever's next pick up the customs-related pile of shit coming our way.
Booklover3 · 13/12/2021 13:11

I very much doubt he will go of his own free will no

MmeSosostris · 22/12/2021 16:58

Rory Stewart needs to join the Labour Party and become PM. It’s the hope for this country’s voters.
