Digs into one type of food like it’s his last meal on earth, I go and buy a box of 40 sachets and he looks at me like I have presented him with his own shit to eat.

Argh!! What to do? Why is he so fucking fussy?!

I miss my old arsehole cat. In her final years she forgot she was supposed to be fussy and ate anything and everything. Constantly bugging for food. Then shitting under the table. She knew how to cat, did my old mog.

When I have fresh Cod, I get the pair of the wee furry shites peering at me and chirruping like the poison-spitting dinosaur in Jurassic Park.

If they could permanently disable me to get to the lovely fish and chips (yep, WFS eats the fucking chips as well), the fuckers would. And then curl up to sleep on my gently fizzling corpse.

Yep! Still love them though.

I feed my 2 cats 3 times a day!
Tiny amounts though - wet food is a tin of whiskas in jelly fish variety per day - which is split between 2 bowls x 3 meals
They only eat dried kitten food despite being 3 and 12!!!
I alternate IAMS for breakfast - whiskas middle of day and kit e kat for supper - again tiny amounts but mostly gets eaten

Sorry but YABU to expect your cat to accept your decision when they have household supremacy to uphold. If you doubt this, they can up it to a pile of sick near the top of your stairs to re-educate you, or knock an ornament off a shelf. If asked about their behaviour don't be fooled by the blank look of innocence as they know what they are doing.

I feel there should be a special course you need to do before getting a cat. So many people don’t seem to realise that all cats are arseholes. The go into the feline experience expecting an affectionate, playful hot water bottle. Education is the key here, people.

I put the food out and walk away. Fussy cat usually eats her fill first then not fussy cat clears the leftovers 😂 (they do both get a proper amount of food, I promise) also have a bowl of dry food down for them both.

Whatever is left gets binned. It's the only way I stay sane.

There is no arsehole greater than this cat. The insurance company laughed. The man at AO was pretty amused, too, but he was up £600 on the incident so that's understandable.

DH shares his evening meal with our cat if it’s something she can have. I’m sat opposite him and see a paw reach up to ask and he always gives in.

She tries to steal crisps, we caught her with her paw in a bag of opened crisps last week that had been left on DS desk.

Dh had a box of pick n mix delivered, left the box open. We came downstairs to what looked like a sweet explosion. I know exactly which little bugger it was, she's sat by the box and flicked the sweets out on to the floor messed about with them got bored then gone back to start again. Dh is not amused. Witch cat is very pleased with herself.

Hunger is the second option for ours. We are a very unsympathetic household. But living in rural france they are quite pleased to have us and we get new cats turning up regularly.

Another fussy boy here who's currently having chicken cooked for him and hand fed to him as refusing most other things.... (Unlike his chonk of a sister!)

Well they all look gorgeous! (Says a lifetime Dog owner!) However we had cats all through my childhood .Remember DMs NDN had a gorgeous Siamese cat .He would sit on her windowsill, and tap the glass with his paws whenever she was cooking Liver !

Not a cat but I need to keep changing food brand for my Hamster or he would refuse to eat it.

He also believes that it is his human right to have fresh pepper daily. He has a big cage and never bites his cage bars. But at night at around 8 pm (if he hasn't gotten his daily fix of pepper), he starts prancing around and chewing his cage. my DH would hear him in the next room and knowingly tell me - your hamster wants pepper! Once he is fed pepper, he scurries off into his burrow and is happy as Larry.

The silver lining is that he is happy to wake up at any time of the day if he smells pepper.

Dont know if he ate his own food or not though!
