Odious woman, not an ounce of sympathy.

I watched that nasty, misleading interview.

Boris is scum, she was a perfect choice.

I wouldn't believe a word out of his mouth on any subject.

GattioAnyone · 09/12/2021 10:48

Well said London Jax.

LondonJax · 09/12/2021 10:50

@JemimaPiddleDick

No sympathy, she’ll “regret her words as long as she lives”? The only reason she regrets them is because she got caught out. Despicable Bastards, each and every one of them.
I hope she lives a very long, long life which is more than many of the people she giggled about did. It'll give her a lot of time to regret her words and I hope they haunt her.

@Tillsforthrills

Totally agree that she’s been chosen as the scapegoat.

Others need to resign, starting with Boris.

There has been no suggestion that he was at the party or even knew about it
daimbarsatemydogsbone · 09/12/2021 10:50

Peston has been getting some "feedback" to his tweet saying how great she is Grin

I'm suggesting he was there or knew about it.

Rhythmisadancer · 09/12/2021 10:53

she set fire to own credibility when she went to be the mouthpiece for Johnson. Shame it took her a full year to realise that she was going to regret those comments for the rest of the her life

daimbarsatemydogsbone · 09/12/2021 10:54

@peridito

I feel sorry for her .She's out of her depth .Who gave her the non job ,why ?

She's a scapegoat .

Carrie/Boris gave her the non-job because she's a heartless, thoughtless Tory with no scruples, like them.
Cyrilgoggin · 09/12/2021 10:54

Londonjax I'm sorry about your mum. I also lost someone. These people have added rage to my grief, and it's not a good feeling.

SmellyOldOwls · 09/12/2021 10:56

Couldn't care less about her, she's gone, why is Jacob Rees Mogg still there?? Why the fuck are any of them there, who actually goes out and votes for these cunts?!

Tillsforthrills · 09/12/2021 10:56

I wonder who the 18% that have voted they feel sorry for her Hmm

Agree, there’s a video of him joking about a party too in lockdown but that’s not been pursued as much as AS

Jesus, I actually did feel something inside me when I seen her crying.. thanks for posting to remind us what horrible values/views she has

tenredthings · 09/12/2021 11:02

She's married to James Forsyth from the spectator. They are all in it together. She's just playing a role. I think the whole party thing is a deliberately timed deadcat distraction.
They are passing some really fascist laws in the House of Commons whilst we all look elsewhere. We are being played for the muppets we are.

I don't find it a surprise that people of Rees-Moggs ilk vote for him. I do find it really irksome that ordinary people like me who have to work for a living could vote for him - and they must be doing so in vast numbers.
emuloc · 09/12/2021 11:04

I was not taken in by her fake tears. I have no inclination to feel sorry for her at all. She will be in another job asap.

twelly · 09/12/2021 11:08

I understand the outrage and how people's deeply upsetting family/friend experience mean they feel deeply hurt by what she said at the rehearsal recording but many that is not a sackable offence. In addition she did not make the law or cause deaths. I think its important to focus upon the key issues and this is a sideshow.

BoredZelda · 09/12/2021 11:10

I actually don’t see that much wrong with what she did, but it did show she really shouldn’t be doing that job if she can get herself in to the situation where she became the story.

This has been leaked, to detract from the actual story, and she’s been scapegoated. And that bothers me for many reasons.

I don’t feel a bit sorry for her, though. Sniffing loudly through that statement, seemed a bit like crocodile tears. I don’t believe a person in that kind of role isn’t well practiced in keeping emotion out of a public statement. Seemed rather staged. She’ll be fine, she has her head well and truly in the trough and surely knew the kind of people she is involved with.

BoredZelda · 09/12/2021 11:11

I'm suggesting he was there or knew about it.

Presumably they meant from people who would actually know about these things.

GattioAnyone · 09/12/2021 11:13

I think this thread is in response to her choice in making a very emotional public statement.
She's a senior figure in communications not an ordinary joe. (Who will probably be turning up on our TV screens again.)
In that context it's fair to point out her previous work, I believe.

Firstruleofsoupover · 09/12/2021 11:15

I think it very likely this whole "party" business is a distraction from the important issue of the anti demonstration bill which is proceeding a pace and will become law. Since us proles like bread and circuses, we are going to get far more excited about not being allowed parties, while other mean and greedy people are secretly having parties, which is Very Unfair, than we are about having our rights to peaceful protests eroded. We are being manipulated pretty well, although Allegra Stratton not having a tissue does stretch the boundaries of belief a bit.

Jarbed · 09/12/2021 11:17

People felt sorry for her?

She'll walk straight into another overpaid job somewhere within weeks. The rich take care of their own.

My view is at least as reliable.
Itsalmostanaccessory · 09/12/2021 11:21

@Malibuismysecrethome

I thought she might have been crying for Arthur but no, it was herself she was weeping for.
What the fuck are you on about?

Whatever else Allegra is, she is hit responsible in any way for what happened to Arthur and other things are happening in the world. Why would she be on her doorstep crying about that child? We've all been affected by what happened to hil and all felt horribly sad, but I've cried about other things since he died. Because my life has other things going on in it. Just like Allegra's.

I'm actually getting pretty bloody tired of every single issue being discussed on mumsnet being compared to Arthur. Stop it.
