Please don’t.

OP posts:

I don’t feel remotely sorry for her but she is being used as a scape goat so the bastards at the top don’t have to lose any of their unearned privilege

LuluBlakey1 · 09/12/2021 14:18

I am not feeling at all sorry for Allegra Stratton. It was all a show for sympathy- she never shed a single tear. She sniffed a lot but never needed a hankie. She wailed and made crying faces but not a single tear escaped her eyes of damaged her black eye eyeliner and mascara and pale foundation. All for show. Will be spending Christmas in her multi-million pound Islington house with her wealthy husband and the huge salary she has had from the public purse. (£125,000 pa) . I haven't watched your video but I don't need to- she is another loathsome Tory who takes the money, does very little for it and runs.

Alltheblue · 09/12/2021 14:18

What's wrong with that video?

She clearly thinks it's funny that the people she works for are corrupt.

Not the biggest crime here but that's what's wrong with it. That and appearing to be high in a job paid for by us.

LuluBlakey1 · 09/12/2021 14:20

And she had no reason to give a statement to the Press-apart from knowing it would make all the news and papers- the done thing is to write a letter of resignation which is released, and disappear. All just a sympathy-seeking performance.

BlameItOnTheBlackStar · 09/12/2021 14:50

Just watched it again. Plenty of disgusting sniffing but not one actual tear.

roarfeckingroarr · 09/12/2021 14:55

@Alltheblue I meant the one the OP posted

LuluBlakey1 · 09/12/2021 15:09

@BlameItOnTheBlackStar

Just watched it again. Plenty of disgusting sniffing but not one actual tear.
All that sniffing too and never needed a hankie- crying makes tears and snot- she faked the crying and sniffing but couldn't fake the tears of snot.
usernameshistory · 09/12/2021 15:16

@Iggly

I agree. She is a nasty woman, part of a nasty party. They’re all friends and friends tend to have similar attitudes.

I imagine she decided to take the fall for Boris and his stupid fucking “chums”.

Very, very true...
flippertyop · 09/12/2021 15:22

So no one thinks she has a point? Just me then

GattioAnyone · 09/12/2021 15:26

Her point is misguided, misdirected and with a "miscast" interviewee bearing the brunt imho.

BlameItOnTheBlackStar · 09/12/2021 15:34

@flippertyop

So no one thinks she has a point? Just me then
How do you mean? I'm not sure what her point is.
GattioAnyone · 09/12/2021 15:36

Pesky poor people in London getting housing benefit (which goes in the pocket of landlords.)

BlameItOnTheBlackStar · 09/12/2021 15:38

Oh, that point?

hahaha of course she doesn't have a point. Unless it's being a judgemental bastard with no empathy or life experiences to bring to bear in a real life difficult situation. Ironically, these are the skills which made her worth £125k to the Tories.

Tulipomania · 09/12/2021 15:39

Anyone posted the link to the Spectator article defending her?

www.spectator.co.uk/article/the-phoney-war-on-allegra-stratton

where the writer comes over all "I know her slightly & she's decent" but completely fails to mention that her husband is senior journalist at the same publication!

mogsrus · 09/12/2021 15:40

Those were crocodile tears I think. The whole party is now squirming as they got caught out bigtime, another boatload of stuff to be divulged sometime

FissionMailed · 09/12/2021 15:42

Not like she'll end up sanctioned on UC living on £600 a month, heading to foodbanks to feed herself or reliant on pip that could be taken away any second.

GattioAnyone · 09/12/2021 15:45

Couldn't get access to the spectator for more than twenty seconds.
Looked like he was passing it off as a Twitter induced storm. Yeah, right.

TheresAStarmanWaitingInTheSky · 09/12/2021 16:00

@Tulipomania yes funny the writer failed to mention her husband is a journalist at the Spectator!
How horrible- " people who had lost loved were dredged up to vent their sense of injustice "
Then goes on to say everybody can feel their pain.
I would think unless you have actually been in the situation where you couldn't visit a dying relative in hospital , you would have no idea of the pain they have been going through.

longwayoff · 09/12/2021 16:08

Er, Political Editor at the Spectator.

Workinghardeveryday · 09/12/2021 16:13

I did feel sorry for her.

I definitely do not now. That video is shocking. The girl being interviewed was amazing and trying her best for herself and her child. How dare she question that!!! Guilt tripping over doing her best for her daughter. Terrible

Earwigworries · 09/12/2021 16:14

I think the young lady she’s talking to in that clip comes across very well … found myself hoping she’s having a good life … the lady in red not so much

RainbowZebraWarrior · 09/12/2021 16:15

They are an incestuous lot arent they?

longwayoff · 09/12/2021 19:56

The Spectator, where Mrs Dominic Cummings is commissioning editor.

VladmirsPoutine · 09/12/2021 20:07

I'm not shocked she cried.

ruabon1977 · 09/12/2021 20:10

I'm not sorry for her, but think there are others who should resign or be sacked. Notable how only a woman has left, which seems par for the course for the misogynist Prime Minister.
