Will Johnson be gone before Christmas or after?

Sarahlou63 · 07/12/2021 22:38

I'm thinking the 1922 committee grandees will run out of patience fairly soon. So will Johnson stand aside to be a better parent before Christmas or will he continue to drag his party into the shit into 2022?

YABU - hangs on for grim death

YANBU - Who the fuck is Johnson?

The more I learn about Johnson, his personality & his character, the more I think he has some sort of cognitive problem.

He isn’t just an habitual, amoral and fluent liar, he doesn’t even appear to understand what the words ‘truth’ ‘honesty’ & ‘lies’ mean. The concepts seem entirely alien to him. He just says & does whatever is expedient at that particular moment, irrespective of its relationship with reality. Yet he’s the actual Prime Minister. It’s baffling 🤷🏻‍♀️.

If you're thinking Liz Truss might be a suitable replacement, save yourselves the effort and keep Bozo.

HunterGatherer · 09/12/2021 18:33

@YourenutsmiLord

From Opal JazzyBBG

Who would they replace him with though? Bloody Gove?!

Hunt

Yes, I saw him interviewed recently and he seemed intelligent and articulate - can't remember what he did to kick him out of the cabinet.
Sahid Javid is sounding quite sensible as health minister.
Priti patel is probably good as she does get things done but I doubt the misogyny against female leaders will allow her in.

You are joking right? Priti Patel would be horrendous, her attitude to refugees is evil and I think she I'd an even more accomplished liar than Boris. Teresa May had the right idea about her.

If we have to have a tory government then I'd rather it was Javid or Sunak leading it.

SarahProblem · 09/12/2021 18:34

He'll shuffle off this mortal coil hopefully.

CherryBlossomAutumn · 09/12/2021 18:35

He’s not going anywhere. He learned from Trump that you can just ride anything. Most people don’t care.

I do. I care.

Hope anyone who voted for him regrets it.

CherryBlossomAutumn · 09/12/2021 18:36

EvilPea · 09/12/2021 18:38

Priti Patel - no fucking way. Not an empathetic bone in her body

threecee · 09/12/2021 18:39

why do so many people who are anti the tories have such a chip on their shoulder. If we arent Angela Raynor types we shouldnt exist is the feeling you get

IAAP · 09/12/2021 18:40

@MapleMay11

Boris Johnson's going nowhere. Starmer and Rayner make themselves look more ridiculous by the day - they're the gift that keeps on giving to the Tories.
Exactly wouldn’t vote any of them in right now neither T or a L and won’t vote green because of their policies

Ffs I really hope that’s sarcasm & not real if it is god help us all. Trouble is not one person in that cabinet has talent or moral integrity.

Johnson is bad. But if Priti Patel becomes Prime Minister, time to leave!

(Feminist and woman supporter talking)

YourenutsmiLord · 09/12/2021 18:44

What's Priti Patel done that's so bad apart from be a woman.
She is battling to reduce immigration despite no gov having any success in doing that since 2003. She is battling to stop the face stuck to road protesters with her legal bill (debateable that it's a good idea but at least she is doing something).
Apparently she needs to be empathetic - you mean like all our other male MPs.

dontcallmelen · 09/12/2021 18:46

Oh & Sunak is a bigger cunt than most of them put together, he just sounds slightly more sane than most of them.

YourenutsmiLord · 09/12/2021 18:47

www.gov.uk/government/ministers
These are the choices. I think it has to be Sajid Javid. My Mp looks statesmanlike but unfortunately his seat is not very secure and he is in Scotland.

CherryBlossomAutumn · 09/12/2021 18:47

What's Priti Patel done that's so bad apart from be a woman. Really?!!

Where have you been for the last two years? She’s well known as an awful bully. She’s been bought in to deliver messages about immigration that Johnson would like someone else to take the flack for.

Mandyjack · 09/12/2021 18:52

He won't go anywhere and even if he did one of his cronies will take over

AnTeallach · 09/12/2021 18:53

As Plan B didn't work out as the desired distraction from Partygate, how wonderful to have the ultimate to announce today - the arrival of child #7 (or is it #8?). How many curries, etc did that take to achieve?! Or was Carrie induced?

With loads of chickens finally coming home to roost and a possible upset at next week's by-election (go Lib Dems), the Johnson isn't as safe as some pp's seem to think. I haven't read the whole thread, but I've not seen Liz Truss's name mentioned as a possible replacement; she's not only top, but miles ahead, in ConservativeHome's recent Cabinet league table. Careful what you wish for...

Mandyjack · 09/12/2021 18:54

I never voted for them and never would, they are not remotely interested in us peasants. They look after each other , its like an old boys network for Etonians

Petlover9 · 09/12/2021 18:54

@3scape

Tory voters will keep voting for him because they think rules aren't for THEM they're for plebs etc, they're just like him.
Tend to agree with you. It is like Cummins on his wife's birthday, taking her to a castle and saying he was testing his eyes. WTF was he doing driving with eye sight that bad.

Yes, there are claims she's a bully but, would a woman MP, and an Asian woman MP get instant cooperation from civil servants. Whom I would guess are male. Just wondering.

maddiemookins16mum · 09/12/2021 19:02

Nope, he’ll be around a while yet.

fetchacloth · 09/12/2021 19:04

Until there is some very effective opposition, Boris is in it for the long haul.
I had high hopes that the Reform Party (previously Brexit Party) would provide some opposition but it seems very slow to get going.
Labour haven't got a prayer.

She was found guilty in an independent inquiry, its just that BJ ignored its findings, she also leaked state secrets to Israel and got the sack.

Hardly PM material.

Reform Party? Yes a bunch of far right nutters, just what we need.
Rachand23 · 09/12/2021 19:07

Hardly going to sack the man when he’s on paternity leave are they!
