It's this Friday.

We're fully paid etc and desperate to go ahead. Have asked guests to lateral flow beforehand. 96 guests confirmed.

Worried people will think we're mad for pushing on given all the Covid news.

YABU - people secretly won't want to come
YANBU - go ahead and enjoy

Yes I'd come!

HesterShaw1 · 06/12/2021 21:52

I'd come.

ColdCottage · 06/12/2021 21:53

Yes I'd come.

Concestor · 06/12/2021 21:54

I'd come. I travelled into London for a birthday this weekend, on the tube and everything, and it was so nice to be out!

Landof · 06/12/2021 21:54

I personally know noone worried about the new variant. A little bit of media hysteria but everyone I know is doing everything as normal. Enjoy op!

me4real · 06/12/2021 21:54

Oooh have a good'un @notanotherschoolrun xx

AllTheSunshine · 06/12/2021 21:58

Yes.
I'm nearly done with my 10 day covid isolation and awash with antibodies. I'll take my chances

Trudij123 · 06/12/2021 22:01

Can’t see to vote, but yes please, I’m in!!

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 06/12/2021 22:02

Yes I would! Congratulations and have a lovely day Smile

Immaculatemisconception · 06/12/2021 22:03

Count me in.

Missmissmiiiiiiiiisss · 06/12/2021 22:03

I would absolutely come. Triple jabbed and kids in school are more of a risk than a wedding

Lalliella · 06/12/2021 22:03

YANBU
I’d love to go to a wedding atm.

Earwigworries · 06/12/2021 22:04

Yes - I would go to a friends wedding … Have a wonderful day

VaccineSticker · 06/12/2021 22:13

No because that would ruin Xmas for me if I was a close contact for a positive omicron case - many people don’t realise that they will have to isolate if they are identified as close contact for omicron. I also don’t want to catch it.

LuaDipa · 06/12/2021 22:13

I had decided against going on our work Christmas party, and it’s now been Vance anyway, but I wouldn’t hesitate to go to the wedding of a friend or family member.

Have a wonderful day.

LuaDipa · 06/12/2021 22:14

*Cancelled!!

MayLeaveADentInYourSofa · 06/12/2021 22:19

I would be really grateful that you had asked all the guests to do this! Yes, I'd still be there and enjoy the celebration of your marriage.

Loyaultemelie · 06/12/2021 22:24

Sorry no, we were actually invited to an evening do this Friday and politely declined because of Covid. I'm CV and we're self employed so it's just not worth the risk. I hope you have a lovely day though (as we wished the couple who invited us too)

Plumjamorcrumblyham · 06/12/2021 22:27

I would be worried. I would be debating over whether or not to come, but would hate to let you down at such short notice and would also be really sad to miss your wedding - so it would be very difficult for me to make the decision.

Just being completely honest. It’s so close to Christmas too.

seriousandloyal · 06/12/2021 22:41

Yes of course x

Saracen · 07/12/2021 01:08

I wouldn't have accepted the invitation in the first place.

But if I had accepted it, I don't think recent events would have caused me to change my mind IYSWIM.

Agree. We aren't doing any socializing with things as they are. And we are triple jabbed.
christmaspavlova · 07/12/2021 04:12

No I would not attend. Covid is obviously a huge concern but it's also too close to Christmas and the expenses that come with this time of year.

Darkpheonix · 07/12/2021 04:22

I love a wedding. The lft wouldntbout me off. But I think it depends on people's circumstances

We are trying to be super careful at the moment. It's mum's funeral between Christmas and New year and my dad needs us between now and then. Its probably irrational, but we are trying to do only the things we need to do. If someone has circumstances where they catching covid would be devastating at the moment I can see why they wouldn't

But, if it wasn't for that, I would definitely go.

readingismycardio · 07/12/2021 05:52

I LOVE weddings. We only say yes to a few, though, we need to love the people. I'm sure a lot of people love you and will be there for you. Have a magnificent wedding day!
