It's this Friday.

We're fully paid etc and desperate to go ahead. Have asked guests to lateral flow beforehand. 96 guests confirmed.

Worried people will think we're mad for pushing on given all the Covid news.

YABU - people secretly won't want to come
YANBU - go ahead and enjoy

Op I'd be there, hope you have a great day.

Try to take five minutes to preciate being surrounded by all your family and friends. The day goes so fast it's crazy. Enjoy!

PooWillyNameChange · 06/12/2021 19:43

Can I see the menu please before I RSVP?

IgneousRock · 06/12/2021 19:43

I'd happily come!

CatCup · 06/12/2021 19:43

Yes, can't wait!

trumpisagit · 06/12/2021 19:45

I hope you have a lovely day.
I think you will be fine for this week, as we are still in the wait and see stage.

lunar1 · 06/12/2021 19:46

I hope you have a wonderful wedding no matter how many people attend.

It's a difficult time and I think it's important to respect peoples feelings on things will differ. I'd send a message out saying you are looking forward to seeing everyone, you understand if any circumstances have changed, and that you are happy for people to wear masks if they feel more comfortable.

Congratulations in advance.

FrazzledY9Parent · 06/12/2021 19:46

I would definitely come - hope all goes well and you have a wonderful day.

Echobelly · 06/12/2021 19:47

Go ahead - I would come, but yes, some people are likely to drop out and I think you have to respect that if they are not comfortable under the circumstances.

Echobelly · 06/12/2021 19:48

@lunar1 's suggestions are all very good.

WimpoleHat · 06/12/2021 19:49

@Recycledblonde

I hate weddings but at the moment I’d come to the opening of a fucking envelope.
😂😂😂😂

I’m not a big fan of weddings either, but I would definitely come if you were a friend/relative of mine. Hope you have a super day!

DrNo007 · 06/12/2021 19:49

Yes I’d come. I have had covid and am not scared of it.

Suzanne999 · 06/12/2021 19:50

Have a wonderful day. Asking guests to do a LF before is perfectly acceptable.

MissConductUS · 06/12/2021 19:52

if you're not going to serve Shepards Pie at the reception, I'm in. Smile

Go on, have a fabulous time, and congratulations!

Joystir59 · 06/12/2021 19:52

Yes

happydramatic · 06/12/2021 19:54

Yes! I would come and I'm 8 months pregnant. I'd also be even more likely to come since the LFT request to guests.

Yeswhatno · 06/12/2021 19:54

No.

I don’t understan why people have to be this selfish.

weddingpanicomicron · 06/12/2021 19:55

@Yeswhatno selfish? What do you mean? We aren't forcing anyone and if people don't feel comfortable we'd understand

Thanks all, feel much better!

OP posts:
Bushkin · 06/12/2021 19:55

Yep

ChittyChittyBoomBoom · 06/12/2021 19:56

Yes, I’d definitely be there!

IamGusFring · 06/12/2021 19:57

Yes definitely !

PinkiOcelot · 06/12/2021 19:58

Yes. Definitely.

Have a lovely day x

whatthej3ff · 06/12/2021 19:58

YANBU - Go for it

Lockdownbear · 06/12/2021 20:00

@Yeswhatno

No.

I don’t understan why people have to be this selfish.

What's selfish? We've had various degrees of restrictions for nearly two full years with no end insight. Big weddings aren't organised overnight. Are people never to have big weddings, parties, go to night clubs, pantos, pictures, party nights or any other form of mass indoor socialising again?
santabetterwashhishands · 06/12/2021 20:01

If there's vol au vents I'm in 🤣

Winecheesesleep · 06/12/2021 20:02

I'd definitely come. I wonder if some people may feel a bit different if they're CEV but I'm sure they can make that call for themselves.

Hope you have a lovely day Flowers
