Would you date a binman?

Inspired by another thread about being a binman as a career.

You meet a guy on a night out or OLD. Seems nice enough and nice looking, all good. Tells you he's a binman.

YABU - immediate turn off
YANBU - give him a chance

My DH was a bin man! He is the loveliest kindest man I could ask for! I don't see why his job title would matter.

Yes I would. I'm not middle class though if that makes a difference 🙄

I'm also permanently skint as a carer to a child with a disbility. They're on around 35k which isn't a bad wage at all where I live

It's a job, an important one too - bit snobbish to look down your nose at some one for what job they do!

True. It would be the same with most factory work as well.

I just can't see it particularly working long term between such different people. Do many male factory workers want to date accountants? Or lawyers? Probably not that way either.

I am dating a bin man. Who cares what his job is! He's kind, affectionate and makes me feel good. Why would his job put me off!

@5128gap The words are cor blimey trousers. I assume it means trousers so awful they would make you say 'cor blimey' if you saw them.

Bin men don't really get that dirty. I mean, how dirty do most people get when they put the bins out. That's all they're doing. Wheeling bins to a lift. The truck smells but the loaders don't touch the actual waste.
