To want to ‘cancel’ Paul Hollywood?!

I am just absolutely just so angry with Paul Hollywood. The way he as a man thinks he knows better then Prue. The way he ‘lords’ it over others. The bullying handshake. Just his tactics. I don’t like him on television. I don’t think a lot of people do. He flirts like a lech with the younger female competitors in GBBO.

I just don’t think people like him should be on our televisions anymore. He a bit of a Jim Davidson.

Who would be the ideal presenters then? I say Richard Ayoade, but that's because I have a crush on him

My friend works with him. Apparently he's not the most lovely person in real life either.

I was furious at the way he treated lovely Jürgen this week, possibly the nicest contestant to ever walk into the tent. Giving everyone a handshake except him was just spiteful.

He's a dick IMO so I "cancel" him by not watching, that option is open to you too OP. That way the people who like watching him can carry on doing so and everyone wins.

It's Matt the presenter I can't stand. He's not funny, he's just plain irritating and smarmy. When they had Sandi it was two females and two males put of the judges and presenters which balanced out Paul Hollywood's bully boy tactics. Now they're even more noticeable because the twat that is Matt makes it three males plus Prue. Bet the executive producers are male, that's all I can say.

Haha, well, no. He's more of a caricature TV villain, like Craig on strictly because it's a tried and tested formula. I think you're taking it all a little too to heart

I have to say he really put me off bake off a long time ago with the flirting with younger women. I dont need to watch that. Havent watched anything with him in for years.

I think that PH was very patronising to Mary Berry, but Prue is a harder nut to crack.

I think he is well past his sell by date and should have gone several years ago. Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig were a reasonable pairing. Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas are simply cringe worthy and embarrassing.

Time for a revamp of the whole thing.

I'm not sure Jurgen was any nicer than anyone else that's been in the tent. You could see him bristling at any criticism so he clearly had a high (albeit very justified) opinion of himself. He was certainly a lovely and charming contestant, but no more so than the others.

At the moment it's Philip Schofield doing my head in. So many ads! Presumably to make as much £££ if things went/ go tits up for career over private life. Would have signed up for them ages ago before on TV so reckon that is reasonable timing-wise ish.

God I can't stand him.

He was good in broom cupboard iirc but was young so judgement may have been off!

I like Noel Fielding but I find Matt Lucca very irritating, he just seems to be "on" all the time and his jokes aren't even funny.

I like Jurgen for not playing along with their jokes. In the first episode Matt songs The Flintstones theme music in German and Jurgen just sort of shrugs and gets on with his baking - that should have given them an idea but they kept on harassing him all the way through.

I have an extreme dislike of Paul Hollywood. He parades around like a bloody silverback with his beady eye on people,trying to be intimidating. Every week I think he’s going to beat his chest at any moment. The patronising handshake makes me want to puke. Then you’ve got the way the bakers spend so much time and work so hard on something and he can’t wait to destroy it with the biggest knife he can find (what would Freud say? 🤔) and I always imagine that he absolutely honks of really bad aftershave. I’ll stop there but could probably go on. I keep watching because I love Noel and Matt Lucas is lovely

Jurgen was a decent baker whose luck ran out.

He deserved to go.

A lot of people are wrapped up in their (internalised misogyny) anti-Crystelle sentiment. But please, grow up.
