DH-to-be has asked me for ring preferences. I vaguely know what I like but it'd mean a trip to Hatton Garden just to be sure. I find searching online a bit tiresome.

No's 1 and 3 were bought new, no 2 was from an antique place. These are as close images as I can find

I don't plan on getting engaged or married again but I love the style of engagement rings and would love to one day treat myself to something like this:

It's not actually an engagement ring since we didn't get engaged and I bought this a few years ago as a gift to myself from dh. I still love it though.

This is mine. Garnet for my daughter, emerald for DH and diamond for my mum. All my important people.

The ring was also my grandmothers so the diamond is original and we replaced the other two. I have them in some earrings 🙂

I can’t believe the state on my hands. This thread has really made how bad they are stand out. Bloody dermatitis.

Two diamonds …meant to represent us both.

That's almost identical to mine which is an exact copy of DH's grandmother's ring, designed by his grandfather (a jeweller) in 1940. I don't suit solitaires so it's perfect.

I love mine! I like unusual engagement rings, and I love emeralds.
