DH-to-be has asked me for ring preferences. I vaguely know what I like but it'd mean a trip to Hatton Garden just to be sure. I find searching online a bit tiresome.

I still can’t believe he gave you a ring from a failed marriage Kate. It’s just weird.

It’s insufferably hun over there but the American site wedding bee have a ring board that’s quite good for this because you can search stones sizes and things. Though a lot of it is about 7,000 carats and worrying about it being too small. It’s an excellent hate read for those.

I didn't know what i want but found the classic solitare a bit boring.

I did a bit of googling and found this ring which was my inspo / start point.
Mine was custom made it is similar to this but diff proportions and not a canary diamond.

Here's mine, it's not my original engagement ring though - we were young and skint when we got engaged (and married) so for our silver wedding anniversary we bought the same solitaire style but with a bigger diamond!

Simple, silver solitaire

I always thought I just wanted a simple solitaire emerald cut diamond on a white gold band (and that's what I regularly pointed out to DH pre proposal!)

He chose a halo ring on a platinum band and I love it.

I adore mine , bought whilst tipsy in Cardiff watching the Stereophonics 20 or so years ago, still makes me smile every day.
