So tea tonight is: mash, Richmond sausages, brocolli, one small Yorkshire pudding and gravy.

Question: how many Richmond sausages?

Itsnotallaboutyoubaby · 11/11/2021 20:19

I only like Richmond sausages. Tried lots of others but I prefer the texture of Richmond.

I’d eat the whole packet!

Not really. Four for my husband, three for me and two for the children

Iamhaunted · 11/11/2021 20:19

Agree with none, they make me gag. But my granddad was a butcher and I have grown up on very high quality sausages (plus heart, livers, kidneys etc!)

Scbchl · 11/11/2021 20:22

Don't understand all the hate Richmond gets, we have tried numerous sausages and they are by far the tastiest even the butchers ones are rank and Beef sausages are an absolute crime.

Id have 3, Dh would have 4. Kids would get 3 too.

GinnyMackesy · 11/11/2021 20:23

None. They were once sent as a sub, made the house smell revolting and we couldn't eat them.

Two naice, good quality sausages per person.

BoredZelda · 11/11/2021 20:33

1 Richmond thick sausage is 4 WW points. I get 26 points in a day, which usually leaves me with around 12 points for my dinner. 3 would wipe that out so I’d have 2 and probably treat myself to a second Yorkshire pudding instead 😀

Embroidery · 11/11/2021 20:34

3 each for both teen kids, two for me = 8. Handy for packet.
Youngest having 3 since 10yo.

miltonj · 11/11/2021 20:41

Used to love em as a kid but tried them recently and they're shit. Dunno if they changed the recipe or if my taste buds grew up.

Anyway two sausages maybe three if hungry but always, always, always more than one Yorkshire what ya playing at??

BoredZelda · 11/11/2021 20:41

🤢 These kind of sausages are texturally hideous.

GinnyMackesy · 11/11/2021 20:45

I've just noticed one small Yorkshire pudding Shock

one small?!

Marimaur · 11/11/2021 20:48

Side note: Richmond veggie sausages are really good.

GinnyMackesy · 11/11/2021 20:49

Shock

I cannot say that we find this.

PinkSyCo · 11/11/2021 20:53

3 if it’s the thick ones. Don’t listen to the food snobs judging what sort of sausages you eat etc. Your dinner sounds good to me. Smile

xxxGirlCrushxxx · 11/11/2021 20:58

@ODFOgrinch

Are they fat sausages or thin ones?

If fat ones: 4 for a man, 3 for a woman, 2 for a child, one for a toddler.

eh?

a 'man' gets a bigger portion? why??

xxxGirlCrushxxx · 11/11/2021 21:00

@Rissole

They are made of eyeoles, earoles and assoles aren't they?
i think so. They look like it....all ground up with a few spices.
emmathedilemma · 11/11/2021 21:15

None for Richmond, they’re vile but 3 for decent “fat” sausages

emmathedilemma · 11/11/2021 21:16

@xxxGirlCrushxxx more for men because generally speaking they’re bigger and burn more calories a day than women.

RealBecca · 11/11/2021 21:17

It's well documented that if you had 2 adults, 1 female, 1 make, same height and weight, the man burns more calories as they have more muscle mass. This is obviously an average but most women aren't body builders so holds true most of the time.

Tigertigertigertiger · 11/11/2021 21:21

Who knew sausage snobbery was a thing !

I love them.

Lubowski · 11/11/2021 21:21

Richmond Sausages are the biz

Suzi888 · 11/11/2021 21:22

Only the ones made from animals- revolting.Envynot envy!
BarbaraofSeville · 11/11/2021 21:28

Most men eat more than most women. DP and I generally select our portions according to how much food we want to eat. I will eat two or three sausages. He will have at least 3 or 4 and larger portions of sides too.

If I eat the amount he eats, I will be uncomfortably full and gain weight. If he ate the amount I want to eat, he will be permanently hungry. On average I'd say he eats about 50-100% more than what I do. I would expect this to be typical for most male/female couples.

Thatsplentyjack · 11/11/2021 21:32

@JurgensCakeBaby

None they are vile
Yup
PurpleDaisies · 11/11/2021 21:32

a 'man' gets a bigger portion? why??
Because dh has a much higher calorie requirement than me because he bloody massive.
