I only eat veggie sausages and tend to do 3 if the portion of mashed potato isnt too big, otherwise 2.

Just to add, that advert that used to be on “coming home” used to be a standing joke in our house. My Dc used to ask who 9n earth would rush home for a spoonful of mash, frozen peas and a couple of Richmond sausage.

Parents genuinely struggling to feed their children balanced meals or infant meals at all and so many sealioning mumsnetter crowing about "giving to food banks" and "helping the poor" who then ridicule people who are buying what they view as cheap food so bad they wouldn't feed it to their dog!

But you can get far better quality sausages with twice as much meat, so would be more nutritious and filling, for the same money, so lack of money isn't a reason to buy them.

The meaty ones do give DH heartburn, he can't lay down for hours after eating them so we have to have early dinner if it's sausages, I don't think Richmond do as much so it must be the pork content

I don't slaughter them ....they go to 'that place' to be done. But it 's a small, well managed place and they go with me knowing they have been well fed, cared for, allowed to do what pigs do naturally. That makes me 'proud'. We know where they were born and the life they have lived. Not a wholesome as not eating meat full stop. But not as unwholesome as eating meat that you have not invested in personally.

Awful things - no idea why so many people like them. So little meat in them I can't imagine they taste of anything but favouring and filler... butchers or if desperate, supermarket finest are so much better
