This poor woman is clearly in the middle of the most horrendous breakdown - who the fuck thought this interview was a good idea?

I just don't understand why he would choose to poke the bear with his joint statement with his girlfriend on instagram. He must know she's emotionally unsteady at the moment so I do wonder whether it was done purposely to provoke these rants in order for him to look better to the courts regarding custody arrangements.

IG is a minor film star. I doubt he had his pick of where to go and work. He would have had no choice but to go where the work was. Wherever it was.

I'm not really sure where I have inferred that his daughters should be asking if he has a girlfriend?

And I'm also unsure why you have decided to pick an argument with me when we are both saying the same thing?? That he should have told the children before posting on social media that they had access to.

IG is a minor film star. I doubt he had his pick of where to go and work. He would have had no choice but to go where the work was. Wherever it was.
Then he could find an occupation other than "film star" in order to stay near the kids he actively chose to produce.

Everything seems to have been tailored to his convenience. What sacrifices has he made in all this? He can't even sacrifice the glee of an IG post.

Gosh I feel sorry for the kids in such situations.

I was the child of two people who were very clearly not in love, yet dragged it out for years in an effort to maintain a ‘family unit’. Scarred me for life, I walked on egg shells for years watching them being consumed by bitterness and regret.

Falling out of love but remaining amiable partners for a few years is done all the time. He chose to run away.

By the sounds of it IG had lived his married life trying not 'to poke the bear.' He repeatedly asked her not to splash their lives all over social media. She laughed at him and ignored him. I think he probably got sick of her arrogant, high handed behaviour and just wanted a quiet life. So he walked.

Looking back through AE's social media she clearly has a very high opinion of herself. Is extremely vain and self absorbed. I think she happily thought she was more attractive, sassier and hotter than all the other women she disparaged. I think she's now furious to find out that she isn't.

@Glassofschloer There was no need for the post at all and certainly not the comment about making him smile again. What is the point of going out of your way to upset the mother of your children. I don't agree with what she's doing, far from it, but I also think he should have some sensitivity.

I’m not picking an argument with you, I simply commented on a statement Alice makes in the Instagram quote you posted. Her words, not yours.

KosherDill he isn't qualified or educated to do much else. I can just imagine AE's fury if he jacked in the acting, started working nearby at Home Depot and only could to pay her $200 per month in maintenance.

He seems to have a long-standing pattern of taking jobs far away from his family. That's not admirable. And to some of us, "falling out of love" is not a good enough reason to break up the family unit while minor kids are involved.

I think he has to take what work he is offered. He’s really not a huge star who can afford to turn jobs down.

Wasn't Jason Momoa (certainly a far bigger star than IG) quoted as saying that he didn't have the luxury of picking and choosing his roles? He said, probably only Tom Cruise and Meryl Street got to do that - and that everyone else was just grateful to be able to pay the mortgage.

He had already waited a long time before mentioning his new partner on social media. How much longer should he have waited? Another year? Two years? A decade?

I think 'making me smile again' is actually rather low key and tepid compared to all the frothing hyperbole you usually see plastered all over Instagram.

Perhaps because they been informed that a pap had photos of them which he was going to throw out all over social media?

Or that it was well known by all the people involved in the series and someone would have accidentally said something.

Or that it might make AE realise he isn't coming back...

We also only have Alice's sometimes unreliable word that he didn't tell the children separately.

I'm sure there are LA jobs. If not acting, then something in production, PR, hosting. Lots of people DO make a living there.

I'm having to step away for a bit because this is actually starting to give me the rage a bit.

My exH was abusive and I'm sure he would have loved you lot basically advocating that I should either never have left him in the first place or that somehow after getting out that I shouldn't live my life in ways that will upset him or maybe that I should consult him first?

Frankly I'd never get anything done and he'd be in a constant state of upset Hmm
