OK I probably am being horrible but I couldn't help but laugh hearing that people are calling Ulrika Johnson 4 X 4 - aparently it has really upset her.

I do feel really sorry for her. Sorry that she recently said, the equivalent of, I never think about my past. It has no effect on my future.
Sometimes we all need to take stock of why we keep making the same mistakes, why we keep dating unsuitable men. I felt a bit sad, that she hasn't even thougt about it.

LoveAngelGabriel · 11/12/2007 14:37

I think it's incredibly nasty to make fun of the fact she has children with different men. So what? It's not Victorian England we're living in.

lalalonglegs · 11/12/2007 14:47

I think Ulrika probably hasn't made the best decisions she could regarding the men in her life but I think it is rather sweet that she is willing to try yet again - hope over experience and everything. I'm not quite sure what gets people such as her and Liz Taylor trotting up the aisle once again but it is a little more life-enhancing than those people who have one bad relationship and say "That's it, I'm never going to trust another man/woman again." God knows after being abandoned in the labour room by one baby father and beaten up in public by another beau she has every right never to go near a man again.

I hope it works out for her this time.

Mincepiedermama · 11/12/2007 14:50

Great idea. Let's all pile in and slag off a pretty blonde woman for no real reason.

Diana's dead, so is Paula Yates. Heather McCartney deserves a rest from it. It's great that Ulrika can step up into the witch hunting, pitchfork wielding frame for you.

jesuswhatnext · 11/12/2007 15:27

i wish i had her guts tbh - i was so burnt by dds 'real' father it took me so long to love and trust again it's all to late for me now, i would have loved to have more than 1 child but heigh ho good luck to her

Im not an Ulrika fan but i hope this works out for her. Her eldest son is old enough to understand what that means, its just nasty.

Hobnobfanatic · 11/12/2007 16:15

Yes, YABU. I really didn't think people could be so judgemental in this day and age. Why is it always the women that are slagged off? Relationships break up for so many different reasons, yet it's generally the woman who is left holding the baby and trying to keep her reputation from being besmirched by smug people who haven't YET split from their partners.

So after her first relationship broke down, should she have joined a convent?

CodRestYeMerryGentelmen · 11/12/2007 16:19

CodRestYeMerryGentelmen · 11/12/2007 16:19

But me...I think she is a slapper!

CodRestYeMerryGentelmen · 11/12/2007 16:23

oh ocme on MY thread then

guesswhatimanamechanger · 11/12/2007 16:25

TBH, yes you are being Farkin unreasonable. "apparantly she is really upset" I wonder why - maybe cause it is such a horrible thing to say?

ANyone would think she was the first person to have sex with four different men, now how terrible is that in this day and age?

MellowChristmasEveryone · 11/12/2007 16:26

I had no idea about this sex addiction, when did this come out? [feels left out]

Elizabetth · 11/12/2007 16:30

Oooh, I hate the sexism of calling women names for having had sex but never men.

It's so self-defeating when women do it too, don't think you won't ever be the target of some wanker's misogyny. Let's stick together instead of attacking one another for what? Having had a few sexual parters? It's hardly crime of the century is it?

merryberry · 11/12/2007 16:31

when i came by this thread there were 69 posts...

Monkeytrousers · 11/12/2007 16:32

yes, you are being a bitch. Congratul;ations

harleyd · 11/12/2007 16:34

whats wrong with liking sex?

Blandmum · 11/12/2007 16:42

nothing, so far as I can see.

When does liking sex become 'sex addiction'? I have never quite understood this condition. If you want lots of sex, go fill your boots (or whatever). If you don't, dont. Where is the problem?

CorrieDale · 11/12/2007 16:45

Yes yabu. My God, we live in an age when men can just walk out of relationships, leaving women to look after the children and cope with the day to day crap that goes with a separation when children are involved, and instead of saying 'this is crap, what is going wrong and how can we change this?' we collude with the dumpers by taking the mickey out of each other for having been dumped. It's crap.

kerala · 11/12/2007 16:51

Racking my brains to come up with a "funny" name for those love em and leave em dads that get a slap on the back for fathering children and not even staying around to bring them up. And get no criticism. Such double standards.

That said my friend (whose opinion I respect and is not prone to slagging people off) worked on a show that Ulrkia was on and she is, apparently, a total nightmare.
