"To reduce your speed to 20mph to reduce the risk of accidents"

Um... Or perhaps they should thinking about scraping their backsides off the tarmac of a busy motorway during rush hour?!

Here we go again...

I wondered that about the glue too! And how do they get their hands free when they're ready to get in their own cars and go home without taking a layer of skin off?

One of the people from it was on GMB this morning. Was totally pointless. Wouldn't answer questions, just kept repeating their same line over and over

Standard practise I'm afraid; so many of appear to have an IQ the size of their shoes, and original though just doesn't feature
Pay them the compliment of trying to engage in conversation about this, and you get a gormless, 1000 yard stare - either that or they start fiddling with their brand new, £1000 plastic phone

Puzzledandpissedoff · 27/10/2021 10:52

Please ignore typos - guess I could do with a brand new, £1000 plastic phone myself Blush

YouokHun · 27/10/2021 11:12

The Government won’t want to be seen to be listening or responding to this group’s methods so it’s kicked the issue further into the long grass. Insulate Britain has handed this Government a gift.

Bumblenums1234 · 27/10/2021 11:35

@Dojacatpaws

Sirens, how exactly would it affect us all
Well it has had a large impact on pharmaceutical deliveries being held up for one thing.
Dojacatpaws · 27/10/2021 11:43

But that doesn't affect us all

Ilovepearjuice · 27/10/2021 11:44

@Merrilee

My granddaughters operation had to be postponed this morning because of these arse holes. Insulate British are the lowest form of life and anyone who supports them should be ashamed of themselves.
Oh christ that's awful. I'm so so sorry Merrilee.
OP posts:
TSSDNCOP · 27/10/2021 11:59

Righto @Dojacatpaws you aren't effected.

200,000 vehicles use the M25 daily. Most to join other major motorways. That's lorries, vans, ambulances, emergency vehicles, medics, teachers, people attending medical appointments etc etc

So, whilst you aren't directly effected, you'd have to have the brain of a pie to not understand that very many others are.

somewhereoverthechipshop · 27/10/2021 12:16

Just reading the news about them today and the trouble they have caused. Laughing my head off at the guy who played the bagpipes in their faces 😂 so random good for him

Puppermam · 27/10/2021 12:18

If these idiots cared at all about the environment none of them would have had children. Yet one of them wants to preserve the planet for her precious offspring. She's already done the one most damaging thing she could have done to the planet. How much insulation would you have to retro fit to offset one child?

Puppermam · 27/10/2021 12:21

Doja admitted on another thread they can drive. So at some point they must have used a planet destroying car to learn to drive.

Maybe doja thinks the things they buy in waitrose get delivered by climate friendly fairies rather than trucks. (Which are usually driven by people who drive themselves to the depot in their cars.)

SweetMaryHell · 27/10/2021 12:29

The police should disengage now and leave them - and the motorists to it.
What normally happens if you lay down on the motorway is you get squashed - let nature take its course

Lelliebellieboo · 27/10/2021 12:29

What I really don't understand, is that there are still no requirements for new build property developers to build sustainable, insulated, and energy-efficient homes. The likes of Persimmons etc will only go for the cheapest possible options. So why are Insulate Britain not campaigning for this? Surely that is the most effective form of campaigning? Target the people actually building the houses, not joe public.

They should be campaigning for new builds to have solar panels as standard. To have effective insulation. To be environmentally friendly and sustainable.

They should be making it clear how to go about insulating your home, Pinpointing people to companies who offer insulations, Educating about the types of insulation available. Making it clear what grants are available - in essence, HELPING PEOPLE to insulate their homes.

Not blocking ambulances from getting to hospital. Because the second they cause people to die (and they are), they lose all sense of moral highground

itsgettingwierd · 27/10/2021 12:30

@Dojacatpaws

But that doesn't affect us all
I'm beginning to wonder if you have as much ability to engage in conversation as insulate Britain Grin

I'm really glad you personally haven't been affected. Does that mean then that you advocate them causing paralysis to others? Causing others to have operations cancelled? The problems it's caused others with medication and food supplies?

Personally I've not been unable to get anything I need since they started so they've probably not affected me. But I don't agree with what they are doing due to the impact on my fellow Britain's.

Especially as most of them haven't even got insulation themselves 🤦‍♀️

TSSDNCOP · 27/10/2021 12:31

@Sonex I reckon it's Gorilla Glue, and Superglue are taking the credit for their inferior product.

itsgettingwierd · 27/10/2021 12:31

brain of a pie

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Nope, I think you'll find they are using this Grin Grin

TSSDNCOP · 27/10/2021 12:37

I think you've got it, also the solution to any of them that glue themselves.

Hang them from a chopper and fly them round the M25.

KonTikki · 27/10/2021 12:54

It's refreshing to see that the majority on this thread, while understanding their cause, have no time for their tactics.
Personally, I'd like to see the Police leave the scene, and leave the selfish fuckers to give a practical example of the Darwinian effect.
Let nature take its course and start the traffic, preferably HGV's, rolling.

You really don't get it, do you?

It's not about how much or how little people do, but we do need to do something.

This is exactly what they are campaigning for! Action from Government to help people and companies do these things.

Because Government is supposed to show leadership and make policies. Something they are failing to do.

Instead Sunak announces he is making it even cheaper for people to take a domestic flight. Which already costs about 25% of what the same journey by train would cost.

How is sitting on the M25 making this obvious?

Sparklingbrook · 27/10/2021 17:17

It’s not like the Government are going to see all this and think ‘well they seem like sane, reasonable people let’s have a conversation with them’ . 🤷‍♀️
