I have few friends.

One friend lives 80 miles away and we have known each other since we were about 10.

My other friend also lives 80 miles away and is the wife of my husband’s best friend. We have known her for 27 yrs. if she wasn’t husband’s friend’s wife, I probably would be friends with her. But we don’t do anything just us two.

Where I live now and for the last 16yrs I have no friends. I have people I know, but no one I could ring and ask if they want to go to the cinema for instance.

A work colleague said she is fully booked every weekend from now u til Christmas. I’m envious to be honest.

@CigarsofthePharoahs

An MGB GT V8. Boy I'd love one of those. I couldn't even afford the insurance I'd need, never mind having somewhere to park it. Anyway, in a few years there wont be fuel to even run one.

On a more downer note - a life free from pain. Fuck you fibromyalgia and the festering horse you rode in on.

Check out the insurance as you get older, & shop around including the MGOC (if it's still going). I got old enough that I had a couple of classic Golf gti's without prohibitive insurance.

I've accepted that I'll never own a classic Corvette, although I came sooooo close a couple of years ago when I needed a new car & one turned up in a local garage. I went to see it. I had the money for it & was thrilled until I crossed that line from dreaming to reality: could I really cope with a powerful LHD automatic? I decided I couldn't. In a way that's sad, but then again I had the opportunity, which I never thought would happen.

I’ll never be able to spell well or have neat handwriting. These things have caused me so much pain in the past.

Now I don’t give a fuck. And I’m angry at all the people who made me feel dumb for not being able to spell. Recently someone made a joke about my spelling. I sobbed like a child. Pathetic. No more!!!!

Fairnair · 09/10/2021 14:19

A child, late 30’s when I met & married Mr Right, so ran out of time.

CookPassBabtridge · 09/10/2021 14:20

An athletic figure ie thin midriff and no over hanging bits. Never experienced it even in my teens as always had puppyfat. I'm slim and have been slim for much of adulthood but it's not that athletic slim, it's curvy slim with wobbly belly and big arse etc 😂

Thulian · 09/10/2021 14:20

Loving parents
Nice legs, ankles and feet
Upper body strength
A wedding - never have, just don’t think I could do it, however nice the man. I can’t be a “wife”m I associate it too much with my parents’ marriage I think.

However I do dream a lot and hold out hope for all kinds of unlikely things, including a flat stomach/being slim and toned because one day I might have the time, a little house with a garden and a garage or workshop, playing in a band on stage again, having time to travel etc.

SollaSollew · 09/10/2021 14:28

My mum’s terrible taste in men!

My real dad was a drinker, gambler and womaniser who really couldn’t have cared less followed by a step father who was pretty constantly verbally and occasionally physically abusive. Trick me once as they say…

FuckingFabulous · 09/10/2021 14:28

@Chasingsquirrels

Mr Frosty (as a child).
I got one as an adult, and let me tell you, my inner child wept bitterly when I found out how shite it really is
ssd · 09/10/2021 14:29

Also a loving extended family. Would kill for that.

@DressBitch

Any form of talent.

I was never encouraged to try any extracurricular activities as a child, which I'm now really disappointed about.

Never too late
