Not a wish list btw.
I'm mid thirties and I think I will see the end of:
Petrol and diesel cars
Cows milk (majority drinking soy/oat)
Pork being eaten by most
Smoking (that's hopeful)
People casually throwing around comments about people's weight
Royal family
Legacy benefits :(
Landline telephones
Desktop computers
A lot of pubs :( :(

Towns will become ghost towns, as most people will either go to big shopping complexes or will shop online.

Eeiliethya · 06/10/2021 22:51

Why would email go?

I mean I hope it does, I hate emails popping up in my inbox when I've got my teeth into something and it distracts me but what would it be replaced with?

ichundich · 06/10/2021 22:52

winter
high street shops
the BBC

Theoldprospector · 06/10/2021 22:52

This is just becoming a list of things I enjoy the most… teapots, cinema, fountain pens, normal dogs.

Why would we get rid of teapots and fountain pens when both reduce the environmental impact of the activity involved?

suzy2b · 06/10/2021 22:53

There is no way I would drink milk from anywhere other than a cow

Cash - will probably cease within a couple of decades. If the powers that be want it to happen, it will happen.

You're probably right about petrol/diesel cars.

Hopefully - the current electoral system (replaced by proportional representation).

AdoptedBumpkin · 06/10/2021 23:01

Also - school uniforms in state schools (possibly).

@Onlinedilema

Free health care Speaking to a human on the phone regarding business, it will all be done by AI. Many pubs will close Many cinemas will close There will be a Rise in virtual experiences including holidays, whereby you will buy a programme which will allow your mind to believe you are holidaying somewhere else. In fact you won't even leave your house. Robots will become companions. The number of women having children will decline. You will be able to chose the sex of your child, most will chose a boy. This will lead to less females, lower birth rates, and more females will transition to become male. Girls will transition at a younger age to avoid going through puberty. The UK won't exist. Hardly any ungated communities, home owners will chose to live in gated communities. Hardly any free parks, they will belong to those who live in gated communities. Physical newspapers.
If that's the future I'm off to join the line for a bullet in the head
AdoptedBumpkin · 06/10/2021 23:09
