As the title suggests really. I was wondering today what other people do and for how many hours a week to earn £20,000-£30,000 per year? I like having a glimpse into other people's worlds 🙂

Our mental health practitioners are in that bracket full-time. (Band 5 NHS).

To the pp who was surprised at teacher hours - when I was a teacher I once worked out my hours and also what I would work if I did everything I was asked.
I was working around 65 hours a week, but if I did everything would have been at nearly 90.
We were told to try to "limit" our hours to 3 hours per evening after 5pm (5-8 or 8-11) and "just" to work one weekend day. So, if even if we stuck to this helpful advice we'd be looking at 8-5 in school, 3 hours at home per day, plus 6 hours at the weekend- so a 66 hour week in term time. In holidays I probably worked an average of 6 hours a week.
I'm so glad to be out of teaching - in mental health services I work my 37.5 hours a week and there is no expectation at all beyond this, and definitely not in my holiday time.

University admin. The entry admin level is 22k- 25k, the next grade up is £25k-29k. I have no desire to progress but lots of colleagues have. Once you're in, there are lots of opportunities. They really value internal applicants who know our processes, even if just a passing knowledge of another department. The pension is brilliant too.

Invoicing and some accounts 3 days a week 23k.

Entry level (post graduation) positions in marketing communications pay around that.
