No fb for over an hour now, literally just realised how much I am on there, hopefully this helps to let go a bit.

So glad I’ve seen this. Facebook, whatsapp, and Instagram so I was sure it was my phone. I’ve been restarting it, updating the phone, updating the apps

It's affected my stupid games that I like to play on my tablet too as they all connect via Facebook, so now what to do?

Might go and rewatch Fort Salem on iplayer instead.

I'm really struggling without WhatsApp.

I'm an emetophobe and my 3yo is puking. My usual outlets (I have a few lovely, kind family and friends who understand my issue) and they would be my first port of call via WhatsApp

DP isn't here either.

Lol thanks I thought it was my Internet too! Was wondering why kids tablets were working fine... Noticed no update on Facebook for a couple of hours so that's why I came on here for a nosey instead 😂

Wondering how on earth I coped when my eldest was little, before facebook existed.
It makes me realise just how isolated and lonely I was back then.
I didn't know any different of course, but I still wonder how I coped as a single mum with a toddler newly diagnosed with autism.
I rely so much on online contact now.

Facebook owns Instagram and WhatsApp, it’s why all three are down at the same time

I'm the first to say I spend too much time on social media, but if I can't access it I'm normally okay. However after a truly shit week I was meant to be going out this evening, only to discover my drive is blocked by an ambulance, which you know is just one of those things you have to accept. I can't let the group I'm going to know because we only message on WhatsApp (also live in a v rural location so no phone signal), if you can't attend in person you can also normally join in with the chat on what's app a bit.

I just really needed to talk to actual people today, whether it be at my group or online chats.
Plus part of the shit week is that my df is in hospital and my family use Facebook messenger to keep everyone up to date with how he is doing etc....

I'll survive obviously but I feel terribly tearful about how cut off I am this evening. We have only lived in this rural location for a few months and I'm still adjusting. I've also only had a few hours sleep every night for the last fortnight, so that's definitely not helping.

Facebook has had outages before and nobody lost things, so I’m hoping that’ll be the case again.

EnglishRose, that is not a good scene. When we call these channels ‘social media’ we tend to think of it as an add-on or extra. But you’re really missing the things you need tonight. You’re group will still be there for you next time, I’m sure.

I don't like it. I know we can text but most of my communication is in groups... I do t know which person from each group to message and do you just say the same thing to each person and Cary on multiple conversations 🤯 it's all too much

It is very annoying as that is where the majority of my work comes from. I now cannot check if any of my clients have got in touch with me, or who needs their appointment sooner rather than later.

It’s almost 4 hours now 😭. I can cope without fb but not WhatsApp!!

I'm missing it.

We use it extensively to keep in touch with family in US & Canada and there's a medical emergency with DBro at the moment. It's easy for the family to keep us all informed with what's happening and to support each other. Because of time difference , it's the evenings when we all communicate.

Pick up the phone or use Skype . I'm in Canada & can confirm we do have phones here. I just had a nice chat with my mum back in the UK
