No fb for over an hour now, literally just realised how much I am on there, hopefully this helps to let go a bit.

Instagram seems to be playing silly buggers too, so I shall have a cuppa and watch Midsomer Murders instead...

I was just getting ready to send my DD some links to furniture to look at and it all was down. Drats!

You'll survive. I've been off Facebook for over a year, best thing I've ever done. All Facebook brings is family drama, drama and upset. Life's better without it.

I don’t have any sort of drama or upset in Facebook. Just see the fun bits of friends and family’s day. And chat a lot to various friends on messenger. Not everyone’s facebook is like yours.

So weird having no WhatsApp or Facebook messenger, I usually message colleagues and friends!

All three platforms seem to be out across much of Europe. FB and Insta don't worry me at all, but I communicate with the family via WhatsApp (when we're not in the same house, obviously) so that's a bit of a pain. DD1 has just sent me a text message, I think for the first time ever.

Same here. My Facebook is very tame - pictures of pets, kids, holidays, that kind of thing, from friends across the UK and beyond, and clips from comedians or bands I follow.

It has been down since 4.45

I've also just finished squid games. I can't ask my mums group for suggestions on what to watch next. Disaster.

But if fb is down @Maskless how on earth am I going to let people know what I had for my dinner?

And all those poor people that can't use Google my mother won't be able to find out anything.

I was actually in the middle of discussing and organising a personalised gift for a friend from 5 other people so I really do need whatsapp and Facebook right now!

I heard about it and actually in a good way. Considered it. But... I will not be explaining to my mum how another app works😂 What'sapp it is for ever and ever and ever

Yes it went down about 430pm. I use it constantly for work and noticed it slowing from about 4, some have suggested it may be a hacker attack known as a DDOS, denial of service. I can't say it's the worst thing to happen. It'll do people good to get off it for a while!

Yeah 16.34 is my last message on WhatsApp. I never noticed it was down until I was added onto the telegram chat and wondered why. It's on BBC news about it being down.

No series of marriec at first sight i am focussing more than usual. Has more texts than i have had in a long time.

I challenge people on this thread to boot a load of FB 'friends' and to leave at least 1 Whatsapp chat when it comes back online....

...you know its a good idea.
