No fb for over an hour now, literally just realised how much I am on there, hopefully this helps to let go a bit.

My fb messenger has gone from not showing anyone online for the last few hours...to showing people online but messages not going through.

My WhatsApp isn't back and fb is only loading a small amount but it better than I was getting. I'm trying on chrome as my app barely works as it is. Also just got a messenger notification

All back for me. I'm sure they'll be up and down over the next few hours days. But all signs are they'll be back to normal before too long.

Not read the thread but I see people on Twitter saying because of the way it has happened, a lot of FB has actually "gone" and can't be brought back.
DH: "They might have lost a small amount of transient data, but thats all"

Most of the data should still be there apparently.

(DH says "its a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of their data" and "I mean a fraction of a fraction". He says he wouldn't have important stuff in transient data, and transient data loss is normal for an outage like this)

FB still not working for me. I might have to go to bed early as even MN is a bit boring these days. There seems to have been a big crack down on trolls and their entertaining posts.

Seriously, this is how much I don't know. I'm not on them but use WhatsApp (when there's something to say, so not a lot). Didn't realise this has happened till I started seeing the posts on MN.
