Wearing a face mask.

I'm in Scotland and still have to wear one. I agree with it being necessary but I do find them really irritating and uncomfortable, but I always conscientiously wear one.

Today I went to a meeting and just didn't wear it! Totally forgot and didn't even think to put it on. It was as if my brain had just had enough of the whole palaver so wiped it from my consciousness. I realised halfway through and was horrified and apologetic. Other person said they hadn't mentioned it because they weren't that bothered!

crossstitchingnana · 05/10/2021 18:57

Both my ears having middle-ear infections. Can't hear, can't stand straight. That can fuck off.

Eilatan2018 · 05/10/2021 19:00

Covid, negative people who suck the life out of you, the rain, toddler tantrums, 5am wake ups and craving junk food when I know healthy wholesome food makes me feel better!!

Boris Johnson lying and gaslighting the country.

Dd2 being 14 and an utter pain in the arse

Antinerak · 05/10/2021 19:12

People saying we're out of the pandemic
People saying lies like "everyone who wants the jab has had it"
Disabled and ill people being treated like shit still
Karens

Sparklehead · 05/10/2021 19:14

Meal planning, so boring, even the thought of it exhausts me.

MiaMarshmallows · 05/10/2021 19:15

Anxiety
Low self esteem
People in general
Tedious day to day life
Being treated as though I am never enough

solarsky · 05/10/2021 19:21

Having to wear masks still in my job
Oven chips
Paying off debt
House work

HarrietsweetHarriet · 05/10/2021 19:39

Almost all of the above.
Musicians and bands who should know better. Coldplay's new single. Utter shite. Elton John & Dua Lipa's 'medley '. Might just as well be fucking Jive Bunny. Rod Stewart's latest single. They are all talented enough to know better (maybe not Coldplay) and are clealy doing it for the money - which I don't think they need. I mean, Elton wrote Tiny Dancer ( with Bernie Taupin) an absolute timeless gem of a song and now he churns out some shit he made during lockdown??? FFS. Open up the airwaves to new talent if that's the best you can do.
Adverts like that one for Flash bastardising classic songs. Queen don't need the money. What happened to integrity?
The above grinds my gears but I'm trying to be a bit light hearted.
How to safeguard women is what keeps me awake at night.

Agree that music today is dire ( sound like my old dad there )
Billie Ellish is going to headline Glastonbury next year. As much as I like her , I feel it won't be great.

BeanBag21 · 05/10/2021 19:54

The climate emergency and people doing nothing about it

Thinking about what I should cook everyday.

Endless amounts of washing up and dirty clothes. Wish I could run away from it all! :)

nopuppiesallowed · 05/10/2021 20:01
  1. People moaning about Boris Johnson when there really is no viable alternative.
  2. There being no viable alternative to Boris Johnson. We need three proper political parties.....
  3. Discovering that nearly everything I want to buy is made in China. Anyone else worried that Chinese goods may be made in Uighur sweat camps, or is it just me?
  4. Long Covid. I just want to be able to hurtle through my days like before instead of thinking 'If I do this tomorrow morning, will I be able to have enough energy left to do something else tomorrow evening?'
  5. The dust on the top of my wardrobe that is just out of reach but which is probably hiding the world's biggest spider.

Being pregnant. 35 weeks and counting

Barmychick · 05/10/2021 20:04

@eandz13 Totally agree! Sick of people who are very entitled and demand answers quite aggressively to questions that are simply none of their business!

Virtue signaling by mumsnetters

Washeduponthebeach · 05/10/2021 20:18

Over familiarity from strangers. Asking intrusive personal questions or assuming a faux 'I'm your best pal' attitude when they are trying to sell you something. It's really quite rude.

Washeduponthebeach · 05/10/2021 20:18

The increasing use of slang and Americanisms in every single area of life. I am not a 14 year old from the Bronx. (I know I sound like an old fart).
