@rocklamp, I hear you. Are you in my weekly team meeting with 2 middle age men who have come in to be regulators, with only industry experience, who dominate the conversation? I have rebranded them doom and gloom.
Another female colleague was being preached at about a topic and got so fed up replied "You're preaching to the choir, take it up a pay grade".

All of their whinging is on the pretext that they must know better but the women in the team have 60+ years experience between them.

Sprostongreen21 · 04/10/2021 19:16

@GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing

Fat, middle-aged white men swimming really fucking slowly in the ‘medium’ lane at the swimming pool and holding everyone else up.

True!

I find men always over estimate their swimming ability and women under estimate. So you get some fast lane worthy women in the middle lane too!

When I swam I could use the fast Lane If it was quiet but then an Olympic worthy type swimmer would inevitably turn up Grin

Slower people in the wrong lane was so annoying! Then tutting/glaring if you overtook them… get back to the slow lane then!

The absolute dependence upon computer technology, to the point that people cannot seem to function at all whenever there is a break in the IT technology.
I'm not blaming people, I'm blaming society and the govt for getting us to a point where we cannot perform even basic functions without IT technology.
I dont think we could even cope for a single day without massive inconvenience to ourselves if our IT systems were down.
I often wonder why terrorists haven't attempted to target our computer systems to bring the nation to its knees, because it would obviously be the most effective way of doing so.

Judith0000 · 04/10/2021 19:26

Also 100% sick of communicating with fucking robots in almost every phone call I make at work.

FourLaneEnds · 04/10/2021 19:35

This country.

PickleASturgeon · 04/10/2021 19:41

Wearing a facemask - when is this ever going to end? I'm in Scotland.

Also 100% what @LoveFall said.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 04/10/2021 19:59

I am also sick to the back teeth of automated phone lines or having to do an online chat with big companies. If First Direct can have 1 freephone number where a human answers as soon as you ring why can't the rest of them?

the80sweregreat · 04/10/2021 20:34

How did we cope years ago before the internet and call centers and automated lines that don't work ?
We did and life was better for it!

mrssunshinexxx · 04/10/2021 20:35

Grief. It's exhausting

FourLaneEnds · 04/10/2021 20:36

@Badbadbunny

Rishi Sunak - can't stand the smarmy fakery. Threw money at some people and excluded others (3 million of them) with the covid support schemes. Done untold damage with IR35 (contributing to the driver shortage). Nonsensical 1.25% tax rise on some types of income but not others. The thought of him being the next prime minister would make me vote for any other party (or coalition) who may have a chance of ousting him - and I talk as a Tory voter!
And I watched his planning application be passed...swimming pool complex to add to his mansion.....
bluebellforest · 04/10/2021 20:36

Being called a person with a cervix!

bwfcchick88 · 04/10/2021 20:42

the80sweregreat · 04/10/2021 20:46

Only ever getting 15 or 21 on the pop master quiz on radio 2 and only ever scoring 39 once on my own so nobody will believe me ( long time ago now )
Very trivial compared to many on here.

QuicklyNowThen · 04/10/2021 20:49

So sorry @mrssunshinexxx

mrssunshinexxx · 04/10/2021 21:14

Making school lunches and deciding what to have for tea every night

JennyMcollin · 04/10/2021 21:20

@Lottapianos

Trying to find decent bloody clothes in the shops that aren't made of shit material, thin enough to spit through, fashionably 'distressed' or cropped so short that they wouldn't fit a 5 year old
you should try pound land, they do a lovely batman costume, hope that helps :)
arrangeyourface · 04/10/2021 21:20

The thick idiots on MN who don’t understand how to use AIBU.

arrangeyourface · 04/10/2021 21:21

Actually, MNHQ should just rename AIBU as ‘For Traffic, because I’m terrified I won’t get the attention I want’.

Women on news or tv shows with vertiginous heels.

Bizarrely, BBC Breakfast seems to deploy a neutral coloured pair of very high stilettos to most female hosts or guests.
