Little Green paints Canton and Echo. Echo is no longer in stock. Then white skirting and door frame and Dulux Sail White on the ceiling. Didn't go with brilliant white because we though the two main colours are already reflecting tons of light.

We got a Roman blind from Blinds Direct covered in a jungle scene. We found some cheap furniture from Groupon. The carpet is the old one we've had but I'd like to put some engineered wood down. Eventually putting up some copies of Victorian botany and zooology prints up to finish.

It's not trendy or subtle but it's me.

That is lovely. The birds are delightful and it looks so fresh and calm.

Our bedroom, massive bed, two bedside tables, two massive white IKEA wardrobes. The bed linens is normally neutral but I quite the like the Japanese print to go with our Koi :)

These all look lovely. Mine is a nightmare from the 60s/70s. Orange wallpaper with swirly brown and orange lino flooring. The previous owners clearly paid alot for it as it's still in good nick, just hideous, 50+ years on. We can't afford to get it redone yet as we know from other rooms that the paper is the only thing holding the plaster up.

Same colours as @whentheearthchanged but used differently.

White walls, white bedding with grey embroidery, ochre throw and cushions, ochre and grey curtains, cream carpet. Matching wood furniture and huge sleigh bed.

Prussian blue and cream walls, red bedding. Its OTT especially as the room is tiny, but I love it.

This is mine. Superking bed and wardrobe are about 20 years old and the chest of drawers is antique. The colour is Dulux Dusted Fondant. I have a few duvet covers, some floral and deep, which pick the curtain and picture colours. Another, which is pink with white dogs. This one is the fluffy winter cover from Next. My dd picked the picture in B&Q when she was about 7. It hung downstairs for a while before the house was redecorated. I wouldn’t have chosen it tbh. But it seems to suit the room.

Got sleigh bed with old pine wardrobe/drawers and chest of drawers, pine bookcase. Walls peach apricot with white skirting boards and navy blue blackout curtains. Coloured starburst round mirror.

Before I did have the light grey walls etc and black iron bedstead etc but that was when ex BF was living with me so when he moved out I swapped spare room furniture around and painted walls brighter colour!

I do want a more “trendy” room but bedroom is a small double size anyway…

I love your room @SolitaryTree. It reminds me of the sort of look I’m aiming for in our (incomplete) dining room.

Here is our bedroom. I know the forest wall is a bit naff and not to everyone’s taste, but I love it.

Don’t be fooled by the apparent tidiness. The wall opposite the bed contains 2 x double fitted wardrobes containing EVERYTHING.

Blimey some of the photos on here look like they were taken in a show home or pinched from a magazine 😂

Ours is quite a mess and is in desperate need of a new carpet but it is a nice space. We have purple blackout curtains because the sun rises at our side of the house and lights the whole room up which is not what we need at 4a.m. on a summer morning!

Behind and to the side of me are the clothes airer and the coat hanger exercise bike as well as our Brexit food stash, a huge box full of photo albums and the ever overflowing washing basket. I decided not to include those in my shot!

Cushions and a range of fabrics make a room look cosy imo and so does soft light from lamps and/or fairy lights. Unfortunately we don't have enough plug sockets in our house to facilitate this 😔
