Currently in the process of redecorating my bedroom and itching for inspiration. Would MN be ever so kind to show me their bedroom so I can pinch ideas be inspired by their room? Thanks

The important thing for you is to think about what kind of mood you want to create. A room to relax? A grown up retreat in a family home? How do you spend time in your bedroom or how would you like to spend time in your bedroom and design a space that delivers that vision.

Companies probably do, ours is second hand and was matte silver, so I sprayed it black, so I don’t see why you couldn’t have one sprayed white if you like a certain style etc.

Blue and white (and not as unkempt as it looks!)

Mine’s an absolute shit tip and in desperate need of redecorating - but we’re moving in ten days so I’ll bookmark for inspiration myself!

I’m getting serious bedroom envy here. We’ve been in this house for two years now but not got round to doing it. Carpet is going down before Christmas if we can decide what to do with the awful badly DIY-Ed built in wardrobes!
We have had so many little jobs to do no one room has been properly done yet so I’m hoping our bedroom will be the first.

This isn't mine as my room is currently a complete tip that need sorting out but the idea is the same.
We had a huge room but not much usable space so we put in a false wall at the back of the room to create a walk through wardrobe with fitted shelving that can be accessed from either side of the bed. We have triple aspect windows so this was the only way to get them to fit in.
Walls are grey whisper and we have blue wallpaper on the false wall to add interest.
Bed is IKEA Hemnes king sized and matching bedside tables with lights coming out from the wall.
We have off white carpet too which looks beautiful but is a bugger to keep clean.

My top tip is Designer-carpets.co.uk

We got all our posh crucial trading carpets with epic stain guard off their site for a tiny fraction of normal price. Think 500 rather than 3000 quid. Very good quality, excellent customer service and they also hold onto it till you are ready to install so you can buy them when they have what you want and fantasise about your completed bedroom without a massive roll of carpet lying about in your way.

Actually I’ve just found one from when we decorated which was in 2013! Hadn’t realised it was so long ago, no wonder it’s so shabby.

Bed is a king size which barely fits but who cares it so comfy. We have long grey curtains now as those slatted blinds broke (I think the strings all broke) and Ikea don’t do them anymore. Too expensive to replace.

When we move I want to do a Miami South Beach inspired room - lots of bright beach pictures, some retro styling and palm trees on the walls!

@NanooCov unfortunately I don’t know where our floor is from - the previous owners of the house did the floors we just inherited them !! 🙈

I now have bedroom envy.
Bit of a storage room here. But I do have a carpet cleaner booked so will be repacking and condensing.

Old pine boards, white built ins either side of fireplace (old Victorian fireplace) with black cast iron bed facing it. One Sash window, south facing room. Very pale green yellowish grey walls and old brown oak furniture as bedside tables and matching old bookcase with sea grass baskets as drawer equivalents for a chest of drawers. No photo as SO messy

Thank you 😊. The cat pic was taken in lockdown. I did an online writing workshop once a week and as DD was at home too stayed in bed for the peace and quiet but the cats didn't take the hint!

The lamp was 15 quid from B & Q iirc.

This is ours, neutral walls and curtains, red feature wall, white bedding with red accents. I love it.

Jealous of these tidy bedrooms. We are so short of storage that everything ends up in our room. Laundry, shoes,boots, bags….all round the edge of the room with a bed in the middle. It’s a shit hole

White walls. Wood floors. White painted wood furniture with glass handles from eBay that look Victorian. Teal wicker chair. Cream & teal leaf duvet & matching curtains. I love it.
