Currently in the process of redecorating my bedroom and itching for inspiration. Would MN be ever so kind to show me their bedroom so I can pinch ideas be inspired by their room? Thanks

My bedroom is not photo worthy due to husbands inability to pick up any-bloody-thing, ever, the fact it’s also his home office, and some dust. Well, probably more than some.

But the highlight is our mirrored wardrobe doors, which the previous owners had their names engraved into when they got them. I refuse to pay the money to replace them, as they are otherwise good doors, and we do have the names covered over. But I know our wardrobes say Greg and Lynn, and we are not Greg and Lynn

Disgusting. Looks like I love in a caravan. The fitted wardrobes can fuck off.

Spare room
Chocolate brown chimney breast, pinky brown walls (mixed myself) french type furniture with cream carpet and a cream metal asylum bed oh and my 50s cupboard that I saved from an alley. It also has a Loyd loom chair (skip find) dont judge me!

Ours is not a mess exactly, but it is in the attic in a house with no other storage space, so it is full of boxes until we can partition some of the room off.

There's some dodgy DIY and yellow walls that are faded/stained in places.

It also has some fantastic features including unusual wall and roof shapes, so while I am working out what to do I keep thinking that actually the main thing is that I want to keep and highlight those shapes. So I will probably have a ceiling colour, a wall colour and wall paper and use them slightly unusually to highlight the shapes.

Forest green walls, or emerald green (looks the same to me!) with wicker/black furniture and gold accents.

MintyCedric It certainly is. So much easier than having them bagged. Saddles now on racks in hall. OH just about puts up with life size Jason Momoa in room !

Changednamehere56 sadly, no. I lack the staying power and self-discipline to actually finish a novel!

Ddot whole house is mismatched. Mostly, it works but there's far too much clutter, which takes a lot away. I seem to have a complete inability to get rid of things, which is an inherited trait - my parents are even worse.

Doboopedoo I long ago lost sight of what 'normal' is. Though to be fair, my best friend locally has a house almost as 'normal' as mine, and we both feel very relaxed and chilled in one another's places!

8/ Dressing table is a thick glass PC table which has loads of shelving and bits in a black/grey glass. Works perfectly in the bedroom

Mine is 1 wall dulux Sapphire Salute, 3 walls Dulux Chic Shadow. Mid grey carpet (I hate wooden/laminate upstairs), white furniture, white bedding, grey lamps/lampshades, navy blue curtains, minimal 'accessories'.

I'm very bored with my austere bedroom right now. The color was on the walls, newly painted when we bought, but it's got to go. Looking forward to a rich, calm blue.

I do like uncluttered though. Luckily, you did not ask to see inside closets or dressing room 😍

Mine has 7 book cases in it so it doesn't look like a bedroom at all. You can't really see the walls either so we haven't worried about painting them, so they're really boring white. There's not much room left in there, tbh, and I need one more bookcase to go in, it's waiting on the landing....

I have just started decorating my new bedroom (moved in in April) so I am loving this thread.
I've spent the day sanding and filling endless woodwork
I haven't chosen colours yet but have a dark blue bed so am thinking a wall of patterned yellow paper and calming light blue on the rest. I found a lovely f&b paper but £130 a roll is way too much 💰

My clothes are in the messy spare room I'm saving up for built in wardrobes foot to ceiling in there Mugs - never have a drink in the bedroom! Cat - thinks bedroom and bathrooms are for HOOMANS only and will only venture in the bedroom to prod me awake then runs back out again

My dressing table is an absolute bomb site if that helps? I love makeup and know exactly where everything is though!
