Love these threads and I am a nosy cow!

I'll start. Despite the very rainy day, it has been a Busy morning of ferrying kids to activities, then home to wash school uniforms and make dinner which I have now done.

DH doing some work on his laptop in the bedroom, kids x2 on enforced mini nap due to business of this morning

I will now take a quick shower then relax in front of TV-prob Netflix, whilst I research secondary schools for eldest.

What about you........

DH is watching tv and lying on the sofa, DS2 is watching you tube and DS1 is helping me make chilli for dinner. It's very wet and windy outside so I'm feeling cosy and glad I don't have to go out again. DDog is lying down and rearranging his bed. I have a glass of wine on the go.

QueenBee52 · 02/10/2021 18:41

Girls are playing tennis...

Husband throwing his opinion at the footy on tv..

Im on Mumsnet 🤣

Lex345 · 02/10/2021 18:45

Earlier we did a house clearance. Now, DH is making dinner, I am having a hot bubble bath, DS1 is surgically attached to his XBox controller, DD is doing her art project and DS2 is laughing hysterically at some youtuber or other. Queen of the house (the cat) is strutting from room to room laying claim to the warmest spots.

RobinPenguins · 02/10/2021 18:50

DD in the bath, I’m sitting on the bathroom floor reading MN watching her. DH ate too much at the restaurant we went to this afternoon and is lying on the bed groaning like a beached whale.

NatWestPigFamily · 02/10/2021 18:51

DH made us all sausage sandwiches at DS1’s request. I’m lounging on my bed watching Netflix and drinking wine, having just successfully repaired lots of odd socks. DH is watching the Arsenal game and drinking beer. DS1 is laying on the sofa in our office doing Maths puzzles and DS2 is laying in bed watching Netflix. He is NOT tired despite continuously yawning. Planning an early night as have to be at kids rugby at 0830.

nixso29 · 02/10/2021 18:52

I've spent the day ping-ponging back and forward to the Mechanics to get my exhaust fixed, ended up £180 lighter and now drowning my sorrows with a large G&T! Candles are lit, house is nice and cosy,DH just home from work and has ordered pizza as he is feeling sympathetic to my pain so all in all not a bad end to the day! Just to decide on a film to watch now

LemonMeringueThreePointOneFour · 02/10/2021 18:53

@FangsForTheMemory

I’m in a hotel. A couple of hundred miles away, my cat is asleep on my bed.
What do you do about toileting when you stay in a hotel with your cat? And do you get funny looks from the hotel staff who don't expect anyone to bring anything other than a dog to their "pet-friendly" establishment?
cpjoli · 02/10/2021 18:54

DS hungover and just woken up, now playing with the wet dog who has been running around in the rain for the last hour. Had fish pie for dinner. Now sitting with a wine on mn while DH plays on the laptop.

Boo65 · 02/10/2021 18:55

Ive been working in the pub kitchen all day prepping for Sunday Roast tomorrow. DH played golf, 30 year old autistic son went out with his Dad (rarity)
Thai chefs came and kicked me out of the kitchen to start their prep for the evening.
Now sitting on the sofa, debating whether or not to go down for beers, probably not a good idea as very busy for lunch tomorrow, however it's freezing upstairs as radiators need bleeding and it's a very old pub

Hotelhelp · 02/10/2021 18:56

Just had a dominos which I couldn’t finish but am considering nipping through to the kitchen for another slice.

Watching What a Girl Wants with DH and kids Smile

samwitwicky · 02/10/2021 18:57

DS watching Tv, DH and I waiting on a takeaway. House is warm and cosy.

I'm recovering from Covid so haven't been able to do much today but I did manage to put some stuff up for sale on eBay.

I'm tired from doing nothing though, hope the food comes soon so I can crawl up to bed and sleep in my nice warm bed

YukoandHiro · 02/10/2021 18:58

Eldest being put to bed by my husband. Youngest very poorly with suspected ear infection but she's started throwing up calpol and antibiotics and her temp is really high. Day 3 and she's not improving at all. I'm probably going to call 111 soon but I don't have any sodding petrol so god knows how I'll get to a&e if needed

TracyLords · 02/10/2021 18:59

Been out for a forest walk. DH bought special donuts. Tried to take DS to soft play but driving up noticed the car park was full, went inside, and yip, no more can come in. Tears from DS. Popped into home bargains and bought him a wee toy to cheer him up. Home again while DH and I did some cleaning and cooking, DS played with his new car and then played twister with DH (I’m in pain all the time so can’t play twister: no idea why I’m always sore).

Now sitting chilling eating home made curry while DH and DS are watching telly

BaronessKareness · 02/10/2021 19:02

Watching a Dara O’Briain dvd, eating sausage and mash ready meal (Asda, surprisingly nice!) with my feet in the Ddogs warm belly fur. Just put the heating on, as cold and wet all day here. Spent the afternoon having a lovely nap, then putting my summer clothes away and getting the cosies out!

Vickim03 · 02/10/2021 19:07

Lazy morning, put a load of washing on, littlest had swimming lesson at midday. Lunch then popped to mums for a cuppa, home and snuggling in my oodie. Kids iPadding. We had seperate teas as kids don’t like gnocchi, bit of a lazy rainy Saturday. Hubby cleaned when I took the kids out out the way. I’m now trying to find something on Netflix to watch

alloalloallo · 02/10/2021 19:12

Weather has been horrendous here today. We’ve done bugger all all day

Just been and sorted out my horses, got soaked so have had a hot bath and am flopped out on the couch with DH watching Celebrity Catchphrase

DD is upstairs playing computer games with her boyfriend

Waiting for Domino’s delivery

ducksalive · 02/10/2021 19:14

I'm in the Midwest. Having a huge clear out. DH has done three runs to the drive through charity drop off.
I have filled our trash bin but still have a lot of full bags.
House is still too full of stuff!

MrsToadlike · 02/10/2021 19:16

Rained all day, so very lazy day indoors. Went out for walk around village in late afternoon when it stayed dry for a bit. Got home, ate supper, DC in bed, now snug in sitting room with candles lit, cup of herbal tea and catching up on last episodes of Vigil.

BlueberrySugar · 02/10/2021 19:19

DS is playing on his tablet before his bath and bedtime. Despicable me is on in the background.
DP on some sort of pokemon game..

Going to get a takeaway later 😋

mynameiscalypso · 02/10/2021 19:26

DS has just gone to bed. DH is in the study working. I'm sitting in the sofa procrastinating from revising for an exam on Monday. We've tagged team parenting today as both of us needed to work/study. DH ordered some new bits for DS' Brio train track (ostensibly for DS but DH spent a very long time watching YouTube videos last night of people playing with trains) so that's occupied DS for most of the day.

ParkheadParadise · 02/10/2021 19:29

I've got covid I'm lying on the sofa feeling sorry for myself. DH is playing shops with dd, she's complaining he's wanting to buy too much from her shop 😆😆
Had a chippy tea earlier.

MintJulia · 02/10/2021 19:31

Just about to serve pork sausages, potato & apple rostis and veg. Smile

PyongyangKipperbang · 02/10/2021 19:32

As close to naff all all day as makes no difference.

Its been brilliant!

BoredZelda · 02/10/2021 19:49

Went for a walk with my daughter in the pissing rain just for fun. Watched bake off this afternoon and face timed my sister. Had homemade sweet and sour for tea and are off to Tesco because what else is there to do on a Saturday night!

LadyLindaT · 02/10/2021 19:51

Cooking a Jambalaya, and trying to find Halloween things for the garden.
