Accidentally filled up a full tank!

So annoyed with myself! I waited in the queue for ages, I was going to fill up £40 worth. Very hard to get hold of diesel, most places don't have it in my area except 2 petrol station.
There was a car infront of me so when I was filling up I couldn't see the screen where it would show how much is going in! I was trying to guess it and on top of that had my child in the car crying, not to mention the countless cars behind that are glaring!
To my horror I only went and filled up £70! I don't even need thAt much. Really annoyed with myself and hope I've not cost anyone to go without fuel!!

I seen people out filling Jerry cans by us, I am baffled by such ridiculous people.

It wasn't just a free bag of meat though! It was stolen from an elderly woman who now has to subsist entirely on vodka and rice for the rest of the week as she can't go to the shops (or something like that).

Tip for you: in modern-ish cars, there are fuel codes printed on the inside of your petrol cap, e.g. "E5 E10".

Check the code on the pump matches one of the codes, e.g. "E10"

Nice simple defense against errors. Particularly if you drive different vehicles for work.
