Just back from putting air in the car tyres and the queue into the forecourt for fuel was ridiculous.

Appreciate it doesn't help that the news bulletins start with" BP closes some petrol stations" and that nobody hears beyond this to "Asda, Morrisons and other supermarkets are saying they have no problems, as have other petrol companies.”

Just stop it.

Although the petrol station has been closed all day, a massive queue of cars has formed in my street … because it is rumoured that the petrol lorry was sighted at the petrol station. Everyone very cross, leaning on their horns.

The neighbours are speculating on whether we could sell them coffees / ask them to turn the car stereos down after 10pm but really, they’re all so wound up, it’s best to leave them alone. Guess they really need petrol.

I think it’s going to be another disturbed night’s sleep tonight.

@Blossomtoes

No, if your petrol was as low as that you’d stay at home and wait until there were no queues at the nearest petrol station. It’s sheer stupidity.
Would it be fair to assume that the people out looking for fuel today are NOT the panic buyers. If they were they would have been out buying it on Friday/Saturday.

The poor sods at the petrol pumps today are those who are actually running low on fuel. Basically those who don’t join the madness end up losing out.

That post wasn’t today. It was lunch time yesterday. 🤷‍♀️
