To not shower everyday?

Especially if you don't work full time or leave the house everyday. Sometimes I prefer to shower in the evenings so I feel fresh before going to bed, other days if I'm going out I will have a shower in the morning or If I wake up earlier before the kids i have one then. I don't always wash my hair I don't always shower everyday if I am just at home and exhausted. Just wondering how honest everyone will be or do people literally shower everyday/twice a day without fail even if they don't leave their home. Obviously excluding when the weather the hot.

@LukeEvansWife you used the word rank. When it's not. It wasn't just you I replied to either.

HRTFT yet but I recently had to have surgery and wasn't allowed to wash until signed off by surgeon. Not even a shower and because surgery was abdominal I couldn't bend over bath to wash hair either.
21 days I had to wait! I was sure people would be able to see the green wiggly stink lines coming off me but my husband commented on how surprisingly fresh I still was around day day 19 but I was extremely happy to finally be able to shower after 3 weeks! What surprised me most was my hair. I thought it would look like an oil slick but looked absolutely fine!

Why does everyone pussyfoot around this? Of course vulvas will smell after two days! Here:

What is Smegma? – A Definition
Smegma is a malodorous, opaque white or yellow substance composed of shed epithelial cells (dead skin) and sebum (oily secretions) produced by the sebaceous glands of male and female genitalia. It is found beneath the foreskin and glans penis in males and the folds of skin surrounding the clitoris in females.

I am post menopausal. I don’t produce much in the way of discharge. Soaping my vulva makes it dry, itchy and sore. I do soap all the outer area and inner thighs, just water on the vulva.

CounsellorTroi I agree soap is very drying and irritating. I find it can be tricky to really wash thoroughly enough with just water though- it does require lots of sloshing and getting thoroughly in all the folds. Although I should add the usual caveat before anyone jumps on me - the inside of the vagina itself never requires cleaning! Smile

I shower at least once a day, that's always been the norm since childhood but I'm late twenties so totally different to growing up in the 50s for example.

@Zwills People still strip wash for a variety of reasons. Not everyone has a shower and they don't want to fill the bath. Some may have sensory issues which make showering next to impossible for them. Then there are more extreme reasons for example, someone I know was in an abusive relationship and was waterboarded. She cannot have showers and needs help to wash in a controlled, very relaxed environment.

There's only two things smell of fish...(one of them is fish) If a part of your body smells like fish you need to see a doctor, that isn't normal and it's possible you have a medical condition.
