To think the royal family are a bloody embarrassment

Just that - why are we paying for this bunch when we could be spending the money on essential services? Let the Queen continue then after her just get rid of the whole bloody lot of them. We have and alleged paedo, a whinging multi millionaire in his 30's moaning constantly, an allegedly corrupt heir to the throne meeting dodgy russians for money....... just go, enough. Seriously - this is all Jeremy Kyle for poshos.

Search for Thomas Markle on Twitter. It’s all there.

Blossomtoes · 18/09/2021 21:28

@StoneofDestiny

She travelled 30 odd miles across the county between engagements so I very much doubt all manhole covers on the route were checked - it would have taken years! The building itself had a security scan and clearance on the day. No police presence other than on the day. And she had one security guy

I know someone who prepares for the visits. The royal 'team' come up well ahead of the visit and make their expectations clear (like a memo couldn't do it, or a conference call). Things like canals are dragged and drains searched - security and police all dragged off normal duties - road blocks in place, all sorts of tarting up done on 'the off chance' the deign to visit the toilet etc (they never do). The costs involved is astronomical. .

You’ve been misinformed.
TatianaBis · 18/09/2021 21:31

I think it’s most likely to be Prince Charles - he’s of the generation who would think like that. It’s on record that a black member of staff at Highgrove experienced racial abuse from other staff members who were all white. Specifically from Fawcett who was his valet at the time. Same Fawcett who just stepped down again for more sleaze. Should be said that the staff member lost her case, but it was 20 years ago and I think it would be taken more seriously now.

No implication that the racism came directly from Charles, but hey it’s his house.

StoneofDestiny · 18/09/2021 21:32

Found it!
Yes - if there wasn't involvement, how would he even know their names?

TheKeatingFive · 18/09/2021 21:33

Hmm the evidence for a very personal animosity towards Meghan from another royal (not Charles) is growing.

StoneofDestiny · 18/09/2021 21:35

I'm actually very well informed on it. 😂😂.
You must be very naive if you think they just pop up on the Megabus with just a phone call of preparation. Get real.

What a load of old rubbish. Meanwhile we have Insulate Britain...
BeckyWithTheAverageHair · 18/09/2021 21:37

Odd that the likes of the Daily Mail, who reportedly everything TM said previous with eagerness, don't seem to want to touch this.

BeckyWithTheAverageHair · 18/09/2021 21:39

Actually a friend worked at a university that a minor royal (I think Princess Alexandra?) visited and they had to get a new toilet in for her!

TheKeatingFive · 18/09/2021 21:42

Definitely heard of new loos being installed more than once in the press.

And who even is Princess Alexandra? 😂

Yes it is. It was obvious really, it wasn't even hidden well.
StormzyinaTCup · 18/09/2021 21:43

I don’t know, TM is a very lose canon who holds a grudge, although I have no idea if it’s against MM or the RF or both. However, you can’t go on live TV and throw that sort of unfounded allegation about and I’m not surprised no paper is going anywhere near it. Is TM actually OK would be my first thought.

This is what he said about the RF owing him

I’m going to defend myself and I’m going to be paid for it. I don’t care,” he told the Channel 5 documentary, the Mirror said.

“At this point, they owe me. The royals owe me. Harry owes me, Meghan owes me. What I’ve been through I should be rewarded for.”

He said Meghan had always told him she would “take care of me” when he got older.

“I’m in my senior years now — it’s time to look after Daddy,” he reportedly told the documentary team.

I’m not in the least naive. You are if you believe what your friend’s told you. They’re not the only one who’s been involved in royal visits. One of you has been embroidering.
BeckyWithTheAverageHair · 18/09/2021 21:47

Is it Prince Charles who allegedly travels with his own toilet seat? 😆

MyOhMySimon · 18/09/2021 21:48

Can you imagine the scramble for damage control going on everywhere? I doubt the UK media can (even if they wanted to) touch this for now, given how potentially serious it is.

ChurchofLatterDayPaints · 18/09/2021 21:51

Makes perfect sense if it was that person. H&M said at the time it would be "very damaging" and it's not at all surprising the DM won't print it (yet), if it is the case.

Well the shit's hitting the fan pretty much for all of them.

What will be next to crawl out of the woodwork, I wonder?

StormzyinaTCup · 18/09/2021 21:56

Maybe he has taken a leaf out of H&M’s book and decided he’d have his own Oprah ‘bombshell’ moment.

StoneofDestiny · 18/09/2021 21:57

What will be next to crawl out of the woodwork, I wonder?

They are controlling the press - 'if you print XX, we won't let you have access to YY'. We don't have a press with balls anymore - apart from the odd exceptions, we have timid journalists and editors. There are just too many H&M stories they are falling over themselves to print and the real 'news worthy' stories are pretty much strangled at birth or royal lawyers briefed to threaten to sue.

Blossomtoes · 18/09/2021 21:59

We never had a press with balls. They didn’t report the abdication for months and that was 85 years ago.

MyOhMySimon · 18/09/2021 22:02

Spot on.

Wasn't sure what to write to not be reported by the class/hall monitors.

ChurchofLatterDayPaints · 18/09/2021 22:07

Yes I'm sure that's true, Stone, but it'll crawl out of the web anyway. Doesn't have to be the press or MSM.

Washeduponthebeach · 18/09/2021 22:23

So reading between the lines what seems to be inferred is that someone very close to Harry organised for JK to embarrass TM so much the wedding would be cancelled in the week’s lead up ? I find that absolutely laughable. If it had been cancelled it would have been a MASSIVE embarrassment to the RF and Harry would never have gone along with it.

DoncasterHombre · 18/09/2021 22:35

Are you looking, Daily Mail (you seem to latch onto other stuff here)?

Of course, there are the usual sycophantic, forelock tugging, bowing and scraping morons that support this filth but there are not that many of them - I beleive it to be quite reflective of the view of the nation itself.

Get rid. ASAP.

Indeed, but perhaps "they" thought they could run Meghan off through an absolutely excruciating humiliation - which it certainly was, between Thomas' antics and no show and the nastiness of the sister, but it turns out Meghan's made of sterner stuff than they thought and she went through with the wedding.

how come Prince Philip has amassed such a fortune & how come his will is private?
