How often do you and your dc eat McDonald's?

I don't drive and there isn't one within walking distance so for us it's a rare thing on day trips. I'd have one more often as I'm rather partial to a McFlurry or a veggie deluxe meal and dc think it's the height of excitement Grin and think I'm a bit mean that we can't have one as often as their friends. Is it a treat? A regular thing? Just something quick and cheap to grab? No judgement from me, just curious as to what's normal as apparently I'm not normal 😂

A couple times a year, although DD has been diagnosed with Coeliac Disease this year so now we never go

Ds(17) and friends probably once every 2-3 weeks (they prefer chinese takeaway)

Never with me pretty much, maybe once every two months when they're with their dad. We have a proper Italian chipper in our town which we all much prefer and that could be once every two weeks

Far too often lately creeped up as something to do in lockdown. . Used to be when travelling or occasionally when out for the day but recently its been about once a week or more Definitely need to cut back now holidays and lockdowns are over.

Before covid, maybe once a month.

After covid first restriction lift, we went to get one as one of the first things we did to feel a bit of basic normality, and it tasted god awful.

We had another a few months ago and it was terrible again.

Anyone else noticed this?

It used to be a couple of times a year. Over the summer we went a bit mad and had it more like a couple of times a week. Blush
Just because the kids love it, and it's too convenient. I don't really like it at all. Towards the end of the holidays, I had to say enough's enough, because they were almost living on it.

None of us really feel it’s a treat so it is something we may have when travelling and need something quick and cheap. A couple of times a year maybe.

Save it as a treat when travelling up north- M6 toll services is our designated stop.

For a meal..... Probably averages out at about once a month.

I do stop just for coffee though!

About once a month. I'm a bit partial to a Mc D's and the kids would happily have it more often.
It's a treat, so more frequently would make it less of a treat.

I haven't been to MacDonalds since I was in my teens (46 now) and then it was because it's where everyone else was going as I don't particuarly like it.

DS has been a few times if he's on a day trip with a youth group or similar. He's not wildly keen but it is convenient and as he has allergies it's useful tp be able to look at menus online beforehand and he can decide what he's going to have.

Chipshop chips on the other hand....

Maybe once a month/every 6 weeks when are travelling. We don't have other takeaways or fast food generally (not because we are virtuous but because we live in the arse-end of nowhere so can't get any Sad )

In the past year we've probably been once a month 😳 it's so easy as I don't even need to get out of the car.

To be fair 90% of our meals are cooked from scratch so it won't kill us and the children love it 🤷‍♀️

About once every 2-3 months, usually for convenience when traveling or coming back from one of DDs various after school sports things (if I can't be bothered to cook).

I never do.
I don’t always eat healthily but there’s just something about McDonalds that makes me feel ill as soon as I smell the place, I’m the same with subway.
DD won’t go and DH occasionally takes DS if they are going somewhere and they pass one. DS likes it and sometimes goes with his mates
No judgement, it’s no worse than most fast food chains but I would have to be very very hungry with no alternative for miles around before I would drink there

About once a month. It's cheap and the kids love it. I won't go out of our way to go to one, though. At one point we only went 1-2x a year due to not living near one, then we moved somewhere else and went at least once a week as there was nowhere else to meet people really, then moved again and once a month as it's near the main shops

It was a real treat for us at one time as the nearest one was in Milton Keynes, a 45 minute drive away. Would go for a day out and shop.
When the DC were small we would go once every week or two, after swimming.
We now live a mile from one and almost never use it. If DH fancies a burger I have a McFlurry. Don’t know about the DC; maybe on a night out?

Think I took DC a couple of times growing up, but it didn't appeal to me. I'm vegetarian (and the smell of cooking meat makes me heave) and don't like thin chips so am probably not their target audience Grin

Hardly ever and I live next door to one. We do get takeout probably twice a month though. We haven’t had Maccies in over a year!
