I think I'm possibly bordering psychic in regards to films.

I can watch any film and 19/20 times can call the exact ending within the first five to ten minutes, even when it's turned out to be a ridiculously unlikely twist.

I'm rarely wrong and I don't know how I know, I just do. Dh has banned me from commenting on any film we watch in case I give the ending away 😂

Doesn't work with series's though, just films 🤔

My most insane belief is probably that the soft toys most loved by dc are actual sentient members of our family.

LadyJaye · 24/08/2021 00:58

My house is a person, with its own personality and likes and dislikes.

I am the least woo person I know, but I genuinely believe that my almost 200-year-old house has seen some shit in its time - more so than I have in 42 years - and I talk to it and sometimes ask for advice.

I also genuinely believe it looks after me, and has emotions - it definitely has a sense of humour. Grin

Wishingwell75 · 24/08/2021 01:06

@OliverBabish I know exactly what you are talking about! 😁 I do the same thing - I didn't know there were two of us!!
The thing I want to know - is it a premonition type of ability or do we subconsciously create the situation in which we'll need the extra 20p, the pen to write the note, both sets of keys etc - can't actually remember a good example, too tired.
More than anything I am delighted to meet my intuitive cosmic twin!!

CanIPleaseHaveOne · 24/08/2021 01:09

@LaurieFairyCake

That I don't believe in life after death (heaven) as a Christian
Me too!
Mammyloveswine · 24/08/2021 01:11

@ZednotZee

I believe that the government has my best interests at heart.

Those of my children too.

Have you seen the education secretary?!! Fuck me he does NOT have any children's best interests at heart!!!
LeonieSims · 24/08/2021 01:13

I believe I saw the future a child. I passed out and had a dream. When I woke up (apparently I was only out for a few seconds), the exact thing I'd dreamed happened. It felt very weird. Around the same time, I also had two or three night dreams that also happened in real life either the next day or a week from then.

Marmite17 · 24/08/2021 01:14

Surely if you think you have an insane belief you're not insane

CoRhona · 24/08/2021 01:15

I know believe that cats understand Every. Single. Word.

OliverBabish · 24/08/2021 01:16

@Wishingwell75 so pleased someone knows what I’m talking about! I’ve told DH and he doesn’t get it 🙄 but it happens to me all the bloody time!

NannyAndJohn · 24/08/2021 01:23

Woman = human adult female.

In some parts they'd be itching to burn you at the stake if you dared believe this.

WolfFleeceSpotter · 24/08/2021 01:25

@TSSDNCOP

Just as I have a feeling of "life is good" it totally goes to shit within 24 hours.
Same @TSSDNCOP I never let myself dare to think it now.
MistyGreenAndBlue · 24/08/2021 01:29

I believe that some houses make me ill

I don't mean from a physical cause like damp or mould or asbestos etc. I mean the energy of the house is destructive to me

I lived in one place 13 years and that's where I first got ill - progressively more so over the years. I got better the very day I moved out.
It's now happening again. Only this time it's a more serious illness. The original illness never came back.
In both houses I was/am essentially trapped by circumstance and unable to just leave.
Other aspects of my situation are also unnervingly similar to before

I guess I need to find a way to move out. 🤷‍♀️

We aren't in a computer game.

But, we are in a hologram.

MistyGreenAndBlue · 24/08/2021 01:32

Yes. This. I don't relax. If I stop fretting, the universe whips that rug out from under me and gives me something bigger & nastier to fret about as a consequence. So I don't.

Mum, is that you? Grin

That happened with me with Sixth Sense. A few minutes in and I called what the ending was. My son was watching with me and thought I was crazy...turned out I was not LOL
WestendVBroadway · 24/08/2021 01:38

Dinosaurs didn't actually exist.
Somebody has actually just put the bones of several smaller animals together to form one large beast. I know it is only me who thinks that. My DH says he doesn't believe in God, because nobody who is alive today ever saw Jesus, I give him the same argument about dinosaurs!

imadeitnice · 24/08/2021 01:41

@WomanStanleyWoman

I sometimes catch myself thinking about how I’ll do something differently ‘next time around’ - as in when my life resets and starts again. It’s bizarre, as I know perfectly well that we only live once, but somewhere deep down, a tiny part of me hasn’t accepted it and thinks I’ll get to do this all again.
Me too, pretty much daily! I waste much of my life actually, just thinking about how I'd do it all next time. If only. I need to make the most of this one.
Plumtree391 · 24/08/2021 01:43

When I first found out, from an older girl, about the act of reproduction, I about eight years old. I thought about it and decided it probably only happened that way in England, people in other countries would have a different method, and the Queen definitely did it differently.

AndTheReasonIsYou · 24/08/2021 01:44

Fate - what’s for you won’t go by you, and everything happens for a reason.

It keeps me sane, in all honesty n

AndTheReasonIsYou · 24/08/2021 01:46

Omg I have a relative who doesn’t believe in the dinosaurs!! Is that a thing?! She has form for —being a lying toad— attention seeking so I assumed she was just trying to be interesting.

Probably still the case, right enough

lollipoprainbow · 24/08/2021 01:47

@TSSDNCOP same, I can never allow myself to feel happy because I'm always waiting for the next thing to go wrong and it usually does tbh.

noirchatsdeux · 24/08/2021 02:05

@CoRhona I believe that too!
